We were captivated by the Primal Spirit of the Japanese Akita, which led our devotion on a journey, to become registered breeders & importers. We hope to share & bring the soulful love & joy of the Treasured Japanese Akita Inu to Australia and have also exported to our neighbours in New Zealand and Hawaii.
We have imported some exceptional bloodlines to strengthen and diversify our Kennel lines. Our dogs undergo health assessments prior to selection & mating, with the mission to improve upon previous generations.

Welcome to ITABASS Kennels enthusiasts and exhibitors, where we aim to preserve this rare majestic breed.

On Ocober 2015 we welcomed Mishi No Bushido Acca Go Hagakure Kensha imported from Chile. Her lines come from France, Argentina and Japan which have a combination of Akiho Winners.

Tsubasa "Raichu" comes from one of the best pedigrees in Japan, his father Gattsou Go Kodamasou is Meiyosho winner 139th Honbuten, we hope to produce amazing examples of the breed with health and tempernment in mind. Welcoming the new arrival of our kennel - LOYAL SHADOW - as we help in the introduction of our beloved breed in Australia!

Our journey began with love at first sight when we adopted our first Japanese Akita Inu puppy, FIREANDMIST MOCHA BEAR, followed by experiencing the loyalty and countless joyful memories with our special new family member. We were then sparked with a passion to devote ourselves to such an amazing breed. We now also have to love and treasure, Australian Champion SHINKON NO MIKI GO, whose beautiful pups were featured in one of Australia's leading pet magazines and FIREANDMIST NOBLE EMPRESS who won Best Baby Puppy In Group at her very first show due to her stunning good looks and pizzazz.

Dedicating all our time and efforts to locate a breeder, we were lucky to find such amazing breeders from FIREANDMIST and SHINKON kennels, who not only have mentored us, and continue to do so, but who we have also created a bond with through our shared love of the breed.

Being captivated by the loyalty of the Japanese Akita has encouraged me to become a registered breeder so that I am able to share the love, dedication and euphoria I have with my pack with others.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Japanese Akita Inu ownership.
Here at Akai Ryuu we breed show dogs that could stand up and win in any ring around the world.
We also produce pets that are the best ambassadors for their breed, containing the right temperament,

Akai Ryuu dogs are raised in the home on a large acre property. They are integrated with all types of animals such as cats, chickens, sheep, cows & horses to provide them with the best life skills possible.

Litter sister Funihine Go - Romanian Champion, Poland Junior Champ, Poland junior winner & World hope winner 2015.
Tatsuya Go Fuen No Oka He has top quality blood lines. And Kokuryuumond Go Fuen No oka. So excited to be importing these lines into Australia.

In early 2019, we imported Hasshuu Taikai Go Kawasaki Takayama Sou (2nd place at Seiken B class Male Group in 139th Headquarters Exhibition) , Aki Go Kimpou Kensha (1st place at Wakainu female Group in Ibaraki Daiichi Branch Exhibition) and Tamahime Go Sambisou from Japan. We also imported our lovely Kawaguchi Hanami from Russia. In the process of getting along with them, I slowly realized the charm of this breed. They have the spirit of a samurai, but also loving and loyal to their family.

All our puppies are born and raised in our home, we spend a lot of time on our puppies. All our dogs are raised on the best quality of food and given the best environment. They are a part of our family and are socialized with other people and Dogs.

All our dogs are Hip & Elbow scored.

We are very excited at the establishment of our new Kennel, it has been a while in the making and is now finally a reality! We have been working with Japanese Akitas for a number of years and are dedicated to using our wealth of knowledge to strengthen this unique and beautiful breed.

Much like the Aurora itself, our stunning, noble and enchanting breed incites amazement and awe with anyone that is fortunate to come across one. KIRASNATURE breeding’s are ever just an “Accident”.
We carefully plan each breeding cycle to ensure we produce quality pups.
The Sire & Dam have been Confirmation show, attained their status and been awarded as “Champions”.

Both the Sire and Dam, were a mature age prior to breeding, have had their hips scored, and 3 clear eyes certificates completed.
Prospective buyers will be sent these results, (with other documented details), prior to deciding to purchase a KIRASNATURE pup.
Understanding of the breeds innate trait and keeping is imperative.
Note: Applicants expressing their interest, will be sent:
• “Puppy application form” & “Testing results”
• Be interviewed, ( minimum twice) and,
• We believe in matching the right pup to the right person and for the right reasons.
Our pups are wormed, Vet checked, immunised, microchipped, sterilised (tubal ligation or vasectomy) for their hip development, and formally registered with our Governing body, (Limited register).
Flights are organised, (at the new owner’s expense).
Pups also come with 6 weeks insurance, (as well as a discount for ongoing insurance), a puppy pack, and a welcome folder.

You should always do thorough research about the breed before you make commitments to our puppies. We care deeply about all of our puppies. And we will carefully match our puppies with responsible and compatible owners so that they can live in the right forever homes.

Akinokaze endeavours to provide healthy puppies with stable and trainable temperaments to our owners. We do in-depth research and studies for each bloodline beforehand and carefully select our imports. Our imports come from Japan and Europe and all from top-quality bloodlines.

Sanshuumaru has won 5 times 1st place in AKIHO Shibuten and Soshibuten show and 2nd place in AKIHO Honbuten show (the highest Akita Inu competition in Japan). Sanshuumaru's grandsire Taihei is also the sire of 'the gift Japanese Akita dog, Masaru' to Russian skater Zagitova. Nagi won 4th Place in the 141st Honbuten Show Youken B group, which is the only Honbuten winner Dam in Australia. We are also the first breeder to import Daiuchu's daughter.

Our imports are checked with Hip&Elbow, Thyroid, Amelogenesis Imperfecta and received blood tests. Our puppies are raised in an enriched environment and introduced to Early Neurological Stimulation Program from Day 3 after birth, followed by our early socialisation and training program based on Puppy Culture and Avidog protocols.

Like many people, I first got to know the breed of Japanese Akita through Hachiko, the most loyal dog in Japan. After importing Heihachiro and Yamazakura from Europe and spending time with them, their loyal, affectionate and happy nature further captivated my heart.

Excellent temperament, gorgeous coat and colour, well-balanced conformation and strong healthy bodies are things I strive for. My greatest happiness is to see my puppies and their new families meet for the first time and knowing the puppies will go on to live a fantastic life filled with love and adventures.

All of my dogs live in the house with us and not in kennels. They are free to run around on our acreage property and can come back to us anytime for a cuddle. The puppies are raised and familiarised with household environment and are extremely well cared for.
