Amspan kennels are a new boutique kennel specialising in parti-colours. Because we only want to breed the best we have selected azel kennels bloodlines for our foundation. Our dog Ch Azel Cool Hand Luke (the bandit) is a multi puppy in show/group winner with best of breed in two states Queensland and South Australia. He now lives a life of pleasure since retiring from showing. Our foundation bitch is Ch Azel Take a Chance On me (abby) although lightly shown has both wins and placing at NSW Speciality shows - multi runnerup in group - mulit junior in show and multi intermediate in show in her short showing career. All our puppies are house raised. Puppies have arrived with our buff bitch(amspan here i am) has gone to azel kennels. she was awarded best minor puppy in show at 2007 sporting spaniel show in sydney also puppy in group awards. Our dog Amspan J D on ice has remained with us and has started his show career with mulit baby puppy of breed, baby puppy in group, runner-up baby puppy in show and mulit minor puppy in group. AMSPAN is pleased to announce it's first home bred Australian Champion - J D on ice and is now being shown by Daniel Gilson in New South Wales. This stunning young team have started on their wining way with multi BOB,JIG & Junior in show,Intermediate in group,RUIG awards.

My first dog was an American Cocker Spaniel - Ltrend Hollys Folly CDX AD "Holly". Together with my Mother she was trained in Obedience and Agility. To try something new, we ventured into Tracking and Holly passed her Test Track. We believe she was the first American Cocker Spaniel to have the Titles of CDX AD in Queensland and maybe Australia (but that part is still being researched).
What a brilliant dog she was, my one true doggy love will always be ger - "love you Holly".
Now we share our house with more American Cockers along with other dogs, sheep, cattle and good old chooks and ducks on our little place called the "Funny Farm".

I have always loved this merry little breed. I got my first Yank (Roseann) from Delwyn and Murry Barnett (L'Trend Am. Cocker Spaniels) about 13 years ago.
For many years I loved and showed solids cockers and untill recently I had not had much to do with parti colours.
