Turrella Kennels was established in 1949 by Cheryls father Alf Ouley (kennel is now 70 years old).The dogs are handled by both Cheryl & Arthur.The Turrella dogs are well known, winning at many major shows with multiple Best In Shows All Breeds, Specialty & Semi Specialty shows. Breeding both red & blue cattle dogs, & producing 69 champion titles so far worldwide & two grand champions, 1 International,3 neutered champions (Queenie was the first to title in Aust.),1 CD,1 CDX,1 AD & 1JD. Exporting 74 dogs to 20 countries. Our dogs are tested for PRA, HIP & ELBOW SCORED & BAER TESTED. When exporting, these tests & good test results are important. Frozen semen is now available in USA, through Scrubbycreek kennels (Mark Bamberry).We have frozen semen in Australia, with Progenetics (Grant Chalk) but could not get it off him, was trying for 2 years, had 3 tribunals at court, was finally converted to cash in court, garnishee orders got my money.

Lonerun ACD’s is situated just north of Adelaide in South Australia.
I only have a small number of dogs, all who live as part of the family. I breed primarily for myself for the show ring, with the emphasis being on

Soundness – the ability to work all day however harsh the conditions.

Movement – to gait freely with the minium of up and down movement, covering the maximum amount of ground with the minimum amount of effort.

Type – loss of type means loss of movement/soundness and working ability.

Temperment – nervous, aggresive or highly excitable dogs can be unreliable in the show ring, in the home or in the paddock.

The Standard – the blueprint of the breed.

I have successfully campaigned my dogs in 6 states/territory of Australia.

All dogs are PRA DNA tested or are PRA obligate free and Baer tested.

We are a small scale breeder located in Bundaberg approx. 350km north of Brisbane. We breed only 1-2 litters of pups per year. We aim to breed pups as close to the breed standard as possible with good even temperments, bold personalities, good bone structure and strong heads.
We pride ourselves in having clean and functional kennels with the health and wellbeing of our puppies being our main priority.
All our breeding stock is PRA tested A&B
