Ceugant Beagle are located on the sunny Northcoast of NSW. As you will see when you flick through our website our dogs are our pride and joy, who not only do well in the show rings but are much loved pets in wonderful homes. Ceugant Beagles are not kennelled but contained in their half acre paddock complete with shade sails and single beds (in their 3 bay shed), allowing them to run and play together all day. Due to this freedom they have developed great temperaments, great muscling & movement and they are fit and healthy. Qualities, which have helped Ceugant Beagles attain the success they have had in the show ring, including 6 Best in Shows at Beagle specialties, the best award a breeder could hope to achieve. Our website will fill you in with more details of these wins and our many other achievements. Winning by all means is not everything, however these shows are a good indication to us that we are breeding the best quality that we can and will help guide us to improve our beagles for years to come. Ceugant does not breed many litters to obtain their quality we just ensure that we study the bloodlines we intend to use for the best quality we can attain. Our 2 sometimes 3 litters a year, are bred with the intention of obtaining a quality puppy to continue in the show ring and to continue the quality of Ceugant Beagles. We do not breed for demand but for ourselves and invite genuine inquires only, for the puppies in these quality litters.

Although I had a Beagle previously it was not until 1995 that I purchased my first Australian Bred Beagle from the Jansline Kennels. The offspring of (Ch) Jansline Zachary "Zac" and (Ch) Jansline Crystal Diamond "Kate" (owned by Faith Brawley) became the foundation of my breeding programme. All my Beagles are "house dogs" and love nothing better than to settle down in front of the fire on a cold night with their human companions. I have now bred a number of Australian Champions and my aim is to continue to produce Beagles with sound temperaments, that are true to type and with excellent movement. I have had and shown Beagles for 12 years. My prefix "Teviotdale" was an easy choice for me as my parents loved this area in the Border Country in Scotland. I did have a Beagle when I lived in the U.K. and brought him to Australia when I came over in 1985. Jodie was a very special dog and was very much loved. He died at the age of 15 1/2. My first Australian Beagle I bought and still have is Kate and her pedigree name is (Ch) Jansline Crystal Diamond. I have to say a big thank you to Sue and Steve for my very special girl. Kate was the start of my breed line and her progeny have done her proud. My Beagles are very much family house dogs. My main aim has always been to breed dogs of sound temperament to enable others to enjoy the pleasure of owning one of these special hounds.
