Estrik Kennels has bred or owned Best Of Breed at Melbourne Royal for the last 16 years, each year with competition (except 2006 and 2007). Estrik owned and handled Bouviers have also won B.O.B. at every other Royal Show (Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Darwin) that they have entered, again all with competition. Adelaide 2004 and Brisbane 2005, where Tosh Dusty vd Vanenblikhoeve (NDL) was B.O.B are the two exceptions. Tosh features in the pedigrees of our new "puppy" stars. Ch Estrik Ody was placed fourth in the Working Dog group at Melbourne Royal 2004 and in 2006 Estrik Abby ( Tosh daughter) was placed in the final four of the Working Dog Puppy in Group at Melbourne Royal. Abby was also placed third in the All Breeds Puppy Sweepstakes at Adelaide Royal 2006. At All Breed shows our Bouviers are regularly placed Best of Breed and go one to win Group awards, both here in Victoria as well as interstate. We have exported to N.Z., Japan, Hawaii, Singapore. Even though we concentrate more on the show aspect most of our puppies leave to be companions and much loved family members- with great breed attributes, type and temperament. We are very pleased that some people are now getting their second Bouvier from us after their first Estrik Bouvier has gone to the big Bouvier paddock in the sky. Located in Perth, WA, we breed not only for conformation, but for even temperament and good health. All of our dogs are tested for thyroid, heart (SRS), eyes (glycoma), hips & elbows, and are happy to show our test results. At the moment, our dogs are full imports both from Europe and America. We do not believe in in-breeding. We also believe in retaining the working instinct of the breed and work them on sheep, as well as train them in obedience, agility and tracking. All our pups are raised in our house, not in a kennel!
