We started showing and breeding Chihuahua's in 1982. We are breeders of long and smooth coated Chihuahuas in Adelaide, South Australia. Our aim from the start has been and still is to breed soundness and good temperaments into our dogs.We are not an overly large Kennel and breed for Quality not Quantity.We breed mainly for the Show ring but do have puppies for sale sometimes as pets. We strive to improve the Breed, ocassionaly we have Puppies that are not suitable for Showing.
Our dogs go to their new homes from 3.5 months onward after we have decided which are suitable for Showing. The puppies that do not make the grade and sometimes older dogs are sold as Pets.

Our dogs are only sold with papers if we think they are good enough for us to show.
Ou Kennel Prefix means a lot to us and we value our honesty and integrity.
We do not like to sell Puppies at 8 weeks as we cannot guarantee what they will turn out like in regard to type,temperament and size for the Show ring, and as a pet if someone is looking for a "Specific" looking Chihuahua. Chihuahuas are known to go through many changes while growing. What might be a beautiful baby could change while growing, and vice versa.

Puppies are available at most times. We don't allow puppies to leave for their new homes until they reach 10 weeks old and that is for a few very good reasons. Puppies are vaccinated at 6 weeks of age and the maximum protection is achieved at 10 to 14 days,and during this time from 3 to 10 weeks they are intensely socialized or I like to call it being (HUMANIZED).

“Thank You” to Jill North of Centavo for allowing me the great privilege of owning my first Centavo dog at 5 years of age, especially considering she was sending him to a family that bred and showed Bull Terriers.

After growing up in a house that bred and showed Bull Terriers it was probably a shock for some to see me in Group 1. Having owned a Chihuahua as a pet from the age of 12 months old for me it seemed the logical choice.

My first show Chihuahua, Australian Grand Champion Wachowa Imona High (Elvis) arrived at 9 weeks from there has matured into not only an excellent Chihuahua but a wonderful show dog that enjoys every minute of being in the ring. Elvis has won many BIG, RBISS, Class In Group and Class in Show awards.

I have both Long Coat and Smooth Coat Chihuahuas and will occasionally breed.

I share the Tap Dogs Prefix with my mum Robyn who has gone from 25 years in Bull Terriers (Dantaro Kennels) to Papillons.
