Dedicated to only the best in Clumber Spaniels, we have followed our passion around the world, to further our knowledge of this wonderful breed.

Debbi recently became Australia's only Clumber Spaniel Breed Specialist Judge.

Quality not quantity has always been paramount to our passion in relation to our breeding program, and we felt that only the best stud dog would be utilised over our top winning bitch.

Having now bred our first Clumber Spaniel litter, we are most indebted to Tracey Garvey and her multi winning Can/Aust Ch Whitehawk Nonsuch Windsor (Imp CAN), who together with "Tess" Aust Ch Erinveine Quintessence, (Australasia's Top Clumber Spaniel Puppy 2002 and Australasia's Top Clumber Spaniel in her own right 2003), have produced our foundation litter and a litter of which we are most proud.
We are forever grateful to Tracey and a special thank you to "Windsor".

We are proud to announce that "Stirling" and "Tribute," our first two entered in the showring from this litter are now titled; with Adelaide, Melbourne, and Canberra Royal Breed wins, plus multiple group wins along the way.

Home to Aust and Can CH Whitehawk Nonsuch "Windsor" (imp Canada) and USA Ch Nonsuch Zeffiroso (imp RSA), "Maggie".

We have imported the very best bloodlines from the USA, Sweden, Canada and South Africa. Temperament is Number 1. Windsor is an accredited Delta Society of Australia Therapy Dog and visits The Sydney Children's Hospital each week. Maggie is in training for her accreditation later this year.

Windsor has achieved huge success over his career, despite only being shown about 5 times a year. Amongst these are Best in Group at The Spring Fair 2005, Runner up in Group, The Spring Fair 2004, Group 4 at Sydney's Royal Easter Show 2007, Best of Breed, Sunbury, Victoria and top 6 in Group 2007, Best of Breed at The Sporting Spaniel Society of NSW 5 years in a row, Runner up Best in Show, Newcastle & Combined KC 2005, 15+ Best in Group awards.
Maggie has only been shown a handful of times. Her wins include Best in Show at The Rarer Spaniel Society of Victoria 2007, Best of Breed at the Sporting Spaniel Society of NSW 2008, Junior in Group at The Spring Fair 2005, BOB The Victorian Women's Dog Club 2007 and The Victorian Gundog Club 2007 where she was pulled out top 6. Windsor's puppies in Victoria and the USA are doing great things in the show ring. Painswick Puppies are due late 2008. PDP1 free. Hips, elbows, eyes scored. Visitors always welcome.

Our one lovely Clumber Spaniel "Merlin" has settled in really well with the cockers and is our big white teddy bear that is so gentle and already much loved! He loves his long walks across the paddocks, but is also happy just to lay at my feet as I work on the computer so is a true joy to live with!
Many thanks to Gayle Clough for allowing Merlin to come to Gunwise.
Merlin has re-entered the show ring impressing the judges and winning hearts as a great ambassador for his lovely breed!

STOP PRESS Trix has now gained her NZ CHAMPIONS title & will be mated up in July. My connection with dogs started forty years ago when I started to breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the UK. At the start of the 1960's I emmigrated to New Zealand bringing about a dozen dogs with me.These were the foundation of the “BRYROSE” kennel which continued for a further 10yrs
My Husband & I have bred LARGE MUNSTERLANDERS under the THAXMEAD prefix for over 10yrs prior to coming down to New Zealand. .During this time we also owned a GSP, a German Wirehaired pointer & an Irish Water Spaniel.
When we returned to New Zealand we brought our last Large Musterlander & our chocolate lab out with us. but they are sadly no longer with us.Our golden retriever has now been joined by an Irish Water Spaniel & a Clumber spaniel. Both of these came over from Australia & are being shown very successfully over here.
It is our intention to breed from only the very best bloodlines available . We intend to have a litter from our Clumber girl,Aus Ch Erinveine Executrix of Thaxmead this year & from Ch Tirriki You Sexy Thing of Thaxmead, our Irish Water spaniel girl next year, by which time hopefully we will have brought in a “husband” for her from the UK.
As`well as breeding dogs I have been a judge in the UK for twenty years including giving CC's in Large Munsterlanders at CRUFTS in 2005.
