We have a wealth of experience in training & competing with this breed, having competed in conformation shows, obedience, agility/jumping, sledding, endurance, flyball, gundog working tests and retrieving trials. Thus when we do breed, we keep in mind all of the qualities required to keep this breed so versatile, because this is what we love so much about GSPs - they are our passion.

We have bred show champions, a Tracking and Dual Champion, CCD, CD, CDX obedience title holders, a GSP National Best in Trial Obedience winner (and own another), a Royal Obedience & a State Obedience trial winner, agility/jumping title holders, and several rough shooting companions (duck, deer & rabbit).

Our GSP passion began in 1975 with Peter's first cross country shooting mate. Breeding selectively since 1998, we have bred 14 Champions from 8 litters. Our dogs featured in both BBY Roadtests and on the cover of Dogs Life.

We maintain correct breed type and function - noble appearance, sound structure, versatility and biddability - by combining bloodlines from Australia, North America, England and Germany with show champion and working titled dogs in every pedigree. Our lines have produced Conformation, Field, Retrieving, Obedience, Tracking, Dual, Versatile and FCI Champions here and overseas and the USA's Top Show GSP twice!

We selected ALL our breeding stock by personally examining (here and overseas) the live animal and its relations, meeting their owners and researching their pedigrees. Consequently, our imports are renowned for their genetic health and balanced, reliable temperaments. We deliberately excluded unhealthy bloodlines no matter how showy they were.

We offer lifetime advice with every dog we sell and accept their return to us at any time.

CENTAINE is a small kennel which has been "quiet" for some time, ... but we have kept a very low profile while enjoying the dogs that other people have bred.

My foundation bitch was Gaitway Sophistikate. I have since made up several Champions and Obedience Titled dogs as well as competing in Retrieving Trials and other gun dog work.
I have been very fortunate to have been given a very special GSP in partnership with Jock and Chris Forsyth (JODUG) He is Aust Ch Jodug Medicine Man CDX who was the true "all rounder".
