The All Round Companion Hunter - Breeding for Soundness, Temperament, Working and Show.

My dogs happily go from sleeping on the bed ... to swimming the widest river .. to searching out feather or fur game ... to strutting their stuff in the show ring .. and back home to be lap dogs and loved pets! They have also successfully competed in agility, obedience and field trials.

My involvement with Vizslas began in 1990 and my first one came home with me in 1991. A growing dedication to the breed has seen me set out to learn as much as I can. This includes joining international lists and discussing the breed with people around the world, traveling to different countries to see other dogs, importing semen and starting a national breed newsletter.

My dedication continues with an education campaign to help new people understand the breed and give an idea about breeders responsibilities. Kenoz Hungarian Vizslas originated in the UK as Kenazorora with the mating of our Hookside Kamas at Kenazorora to Ch Helmlake Life at the Top with Dallandor (the first show and working Champion bitch in the UK for 10 years).
The result was Dallandor Natalia at Kenazorora who has proved to be our excellent foundation bitch being both the mother to our Edie - Ch Kenazorora Krani JW , Mollie - Kenazorora Kristiana (BCC winner Crufts 2010- bitch entry 111) and Tiga - Ch Kenazorora The Sun King who was imported to Tasmania by Faye Harris (Hanafor), all sired by our Eng Sh Ch Gardenway Drummond.

We are not big breeders, having only bred 8 litters in the 26 years we have owned this delightful breed. We breed for temprament, health,type and all round ability. Puppies with our bloodlines have, as well as winning at Crufts, are being worked with Hawks,working as professional gamekeepers/hunters dogs, being used as "PAT" dogs, training for Police Drug Detection, and doing Agility as well as being excellent all round pets and family dogs!

We believe that with the right training and support Vizslas can be the true multi-purpose dog, excelling at all things in harmony. We totally encourage our responsible puppy owners in that en-devour.

Silverton Kennels was established in 2008 when we purchased our Vizsla bitch - Tilly - from the UK whose sire is at stud at the Sugar Kennels in Hungary.

In 2009 we also introduced a beautiful 'stunner' from Erdos Kennels in Australia that has excellent bloodlines. Reign's Great Great Grandfather Hungargunn Bear Itn Mind won the Gundog group at Crufts in 2009 and in 2010 took out Crufts Best In Show.

'Silverton', established in 2000 is very successful in breeding stud Pure African Angora goats. We concentrate on striving for excellence through top genetics and a sound breeding programme.

We hope to bring this broad base of experience to the breeding of Hungarian Vizsla's in the future.

I purchased my first Hungarian Vizsla in 1994 and the breed has been a major part of my life ever since. I am now at my fourth generation. Along the way "Fritz" was imported from Germany. I now have "Studly" who was born in quarantine and a direct descendent from the famous Hungarian Matai Kennels. My dogs are part of the family, go every where I go and are regularly used for hunting on land and water. Life isn't the same with out a Vizsla.

We are a small Kennel, devoted to bringing strong European bloodlines to Australia in an effort to combine the strength of European dogs with the fine features of those bred in Australia.

In order to achieve our aims, we have imported one of Europe triple champion Sugar Jegyzo. He is a Champion in Luxembourg, Romania and Hungary, the home of vizslas.

In addition we will have another bitch from the world famous Sugar Kennels arriving at the end of 2011, she carries a very strong line of Valleyhunter's blood who is from the very well known old Valley Hunter lines and Sugar blood combined.

These dogs will, along with our current dogs, provide a strong and desirable foundation for our efforts at advancing the breed.

In 1989 we purchased our first Vizsla. We fell in love with this wonderful breed and in 1994 Debrecan Kennels was established. We imported our first Vizsla Bitch from Australia, “Cheska” followed by “Sarkoz” (Agasvari Super Star), whose father was a direct import from Hungary. He was a fabulous dog, produced some beautiful puppies, and was used at stud by other Vizsla breeders. His Granddaughter, NZCH “Kato” is our pride and joy and she came to us from Magyar Kennels. All Vizslas which we breed from are hip and elbow scored. We stand by our puppies as we strive to maintain a high standard in our breeding programme.

Imported from the UK, our dogs have superb breeding with strong Hungarian, UK and Australian bloodlines. Our stud dog Lalamychar Dream Boy was sired by the UK Crufts Champion 2010(Yogi). He has more than 15 Champions in his pedigree including Australian, New Zealand, American and Canadian Lines. Our bitch Chulak One Wish, is bred from pure Hungarian bloodlines and also has Champion stock through her pedigree including American and German champions. We have purposly outbred these lovely dogs to add some great,fresh bloodlines to the Australian genepool and help keep the Hungarian Vizsla true to type.
Both dogs have excellent hip scores and eye tests (UK tested).

Levi and Sasha have both been raised as family pets, are happy and healthy and have excellent temperaments. They are very energetic and live life to the full!

We are very pleased that all our gorgeous pups find themselves new homes across Australia, Tasmania and as far as Singapore as family pets, hunting dogs and future show dogs.

We will not be having any more pups for a few years.

Levi is available for stud duties to approved bitches who have been hip scored.
