Australia's first pure-bred Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla, a male, was imported into the country a number of years ago however, breed recognition with the ANKC was not acquired at that time.

2006/07 saw a collaboration between Donna Holman (Silvanus UK) and Fay Harris (Hanafor Australia) for offical ANKC recognition of the breed for exhibition in Australia.

In January 2007 the breeds original import Silvanus Lord Nelson (Imp UK) entered the show ring. Later in 2007 Throstlenest Miz Monipenny of Silvanus (Imp UK) arrived in Australia in whelp.

The breed’s first registered litter in Australia was whelped on 22nd August 2007 under the Nadaf prefix.

We breed both Hungarian Vizslas and Hungarian Wiredhaired Vizslas.
Our Vizslas are from top Australian and American lines including Hanafor and Cariad.
Our "Wires" are all imported from Hungary, predominantly from Zsofia Miczek and the Zoldmali Kennel. Our wonderful boy "Sereny" is the first "Wire" to win a Best In Show in Australia and he recently sired his first litter here.
We breed for happy, healthy dogs. Good health and an excellent temperament are of foremost importance to us in our breeding programme.
Our puppies are occasionally available to approved homes.

After breeding smooth Vizslas from the late 1990's In 2009 Huseges welcomed into the family of smooth's a Wirehaired Vizsla "Champion Habanero Anna Sophia" bred from the imported Hungarian bloodlines of the famous Zoldmali Kennels in Hungary by Habanero Kennels. I now could not live without a "wire"

Spring litter planned from Ch. Kezthey Weroona (Millie) and our new boy Harrigoss Workforce (Harry) Imp. UK. Harry comes from the very best Hungarian working lines and introduces much needed new blood into the local gene pool.

There is already great interest in this litter due to Millie's and Harry's ancestry. Their inbreeding coefficient is incredibly low, which is in line with our hopes for developing and strengthening the breed locally.
