Queenslands first and only breeder of Lagotto Romagnolo since 2003. Home to Australia's 1st Italian Imported Lagotto - CH Sarno (Imp Ity). Home to several Royal CC & BOB winners as well as Multi Class in group winners. Azzuronasto Lagotto can be found all over Australian as well as in several state of America and New Zealand. Top quality puppy available from the top Australain and Italian lines. Azzuronastro is owned by Rena Henderson(formely Queendale Kennels since 1976) a conformation judge and an active memeber in several all breeds clubs. We have campained 8 lagottos to their Australian Championship Title.

We have been involved in the Lagotto Romagnolo since we visited the World Dog Show, Amsterdam 2002 and saw the quality of the breed in Europe.

Following this we purchased our initial 2 founding bitches from Tartufo, we have imported two Lagotti from Croatia carrying all Italian bloodlines (and both having good B grade hips) in an attempt to expand the gene pool so our breedings do not become too tight with a focus on producing correct coat type, size and most of all healthy happy companions.

We are the first to import semen into Australia from top European dog Multi CH Lucignolo Del Pesco (Italy) Hip Grade A.

We have bred/owned 12 Lagotto Champions and bred the first Agility Champion & Flyball Champion Lagotto. Our dogs have excelled at top group and Royal Show level in Tasmania, ACT, NSW and Queensland and Victoria. Our breeding stock are hip scored.

Our dogs have been tested CLEAR for Juvenile Epilepsy.

2009 will see G. Angelina Jolie, G. Jazmine, G. Pasqua Radar, G. Pasqua Shiana & G. Pasqua Faith from our latest litters around the showrings.

We do not breed our Lagotti for an export or breeding market, we take true care and are interested in primarily finding companion homes for our puppies.

We have been involved with Lagotti now for over 9 years one way or another. We have bred Four homebread Champions to date, with another one not far off their title. One of our boys are successful in scenting as well. Having undertaken extensive research into this beautiful breed, we have planned our breeding program for the future. We have imported two italian boys, whose bloodlines compliment each other. Duca is no longer at stud and is in a wonderful family home and his progeny are being put to Sam both are part of a long term breeding program for the future of this stunning breed in Australia. It is very important to us that we honour the work already put in by the Italians and that we keep the Lagotto true to the breed type and coat. Our males are Italian imported males. We will be back in the show world again in 2010 . We have Sam's progeny to campaign.

Whilst we have had a relatively quiet couple of years - due to commitments - we have been extremely fortunate that Nugold Lagotto has still been campaigned in Australia and in very capable hands!

We are only lightly campaigning our lagotti and say a big thank you for the positive feedback received from judges thus far. We are still in the process of putting one hectacre down to hazelnut and chestnut trees impregnated with the truffle spore and when they are ready we will be delighted to be able to use our laggoti for truffle hunting. We are not breeders of lagotti at this stage.

We've been breeding Australian Shepherds for many years but recently decided to add something different to the team. Along came one Lagotto, Nugold Giovanna. Riffraff, as she prefers to be called, quickly made herself right at home. As her photo shows she loves life on the farm. Although she occasionally gets washed and blow-dried for a day at work with mum, she's particularly fond of diving in water troughs, chasing magpies and curling up by the fire at night. Riffle Piffle is the perfect family pet, exactly what we like our dogs to be.

Introducing "Tartufo Jolanda" also known as Lucy. Lucy is sired by Ch.Budoar Walsh (Imp.Fin)and out of Akela Delle Farnie(Imp.It). Lucy is classified as 'Chocolate' in colour. She meets the breed standard well. Lucy has also won "BEST PUPPY IN SHOW" at the gundog open show last year and has won "MULTIPLE INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP" We are very proud of her progress in the ring.

Lucy has been a star from day one of entering the showring. Her outgoing personality and willingness to please has made her a joy to have in our family. We look forward to some outstanding pups from her.We are grateful to Dr. Margaret Giles the first importer of Lagotto's to Australia, for giving us the chance to own one of her amazing pups.

We have recently added a new member to our family, 'Azzuronastro My Name Is Kirby' also known as 'Kirby'. This boy is a beautiful, effectionate dog and is showing a promising future in the ring. His colouring is known as brown/ white and his coat is to standard along with his comformation.

Maggie is our first Lagotto Romaglo and has been part of our family of 5, for 3 years now. During this time we as a family, have learnt so much about this precious breed. Maggie has amazed us with how true, to the original breed temperament and type she is. Maggie has a colourful and well balance personality and is truly one of the family.
For the last two years I have been studying animal behaviour . During this time, Maggie has been used for many conditioning video's and class demonstrations, she not only helped me achieve top marks but she has proved her self to be worthy as a therapy dog.
I would like to thank Margaret Giles for allowing one of her beautiful puppies to be part of our family and always supplying an abundance of information and knowledge over the years.
