Established in 1982 in NSW moved to Brisbane 2012. Dobro is a small breeder aiming for Temperament, Quality and above all sound Golden Retrievers. Our Dogs are firstly our pets whom we have some fun with at the occasional show plus enjoy obedience school.
Our blood lines have been carefully chosen from UK, Sweden, Europe and Australia, health tested for Hips Elbows Eyes and Hearts by qualified Veterinary specialists and parents of litters have full DNA profiles.
We have bred and owned several Best In Show Specialty winning Goldens, 34 Champions a Grand Champion and 5 Titled Obedience Goldens.
Our litters are carefully planned with extensive knowledge of pedigrees from a wealth of years of experience. We have helped establish several Breeders with lovely Goldens and mentor them with successful breeding programms.
We are not commercial breeders and have on average one litter of pups a year. Our pups are reared in the house so they are used to family life by the time they leave for their new homes.
We encourage new owners to attend training classes to socialise their puppy as well as achieving a well trained adult dog that is a pleasure to own.
Liz was President of the National Golden Retriever Council for 6 years, active in State Breed Clubs in Brisbane and Perth now retired from those duties . Currently a Member of the GR Club of NSW and United Kingdom.
