Prefix : WULIANGO (Basenji)
The name Wuliango means "little village dog" in Zandee. Our Breeding program is focused on health, temperament, conformance and, selecting Basenjis breeding pairs who have close African gene lines.
Our foundation male Basenjis are:
CH. Wuliango Sweet Dandelion (AI) 3/4 African bred Basenji. Sire: Am CH.CH Kibushi Nyanga Sweet Snapdragon (Imp USA). Dam: Kibishi Poppy of Yamboka (Imp USA). Red & White. PRA and Fanconi tested as clear. Gene colour tested as a Prue for Red. Hip tested under PenHip and AVA testing schemes. Tested under ACS eye testing scheme.
Avongara Akua 1st generation African Basenji imported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2011. Red & White. PRA and Fanconi tested as clear. Tested under the ACS eye testing scheme. Akua is registered with the African Stock Project, the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Australian National Kennel club (ANKC). All Basenjis with "Avongara" in their name identifies them as being registered foundation stock Basenjis from Africa.
Wuliango Basenjis are well socialised and tested for: Fanconi, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), and have general eyes tests under the Australian Canine Eye Scheme.
