Viking Wins BEST IN SHOW at CANBERRA ROYAL 2012, making breed history as the first Alaskan Malamute to win this prestigious show



In 2010 Viking Wins His Second BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW at the Alaskan Malamute Club of NSW, with a breed entry of 66 malamutes. This gave him enough points to attain his GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP.

With only 2 shows up his sleeve since December 2009, Viking was awarded Reserve Dog cc and Runner Up Best of Breed at this years Sydney Royal, 2010. His daughter Faith was also awarded Reserve Bitch cc at the age of 20 months at the same show.

Since Sydney Royal, Viking made another appearance during the ANZAC Day Weekend where he was awarded RUNNER UP BEST IN SHOW, at the Bulli District Kennel Club and the following day BEST IN GROUP at the County of Cumberland Show with 170 entries in the group. The following weekend he was awarded another two consecutive Best in Group Awards.

Viking is from the famous "Ross", aka Am/Can Ch Poker Flat's Road Warrior WTD,WLD, and out of "Watcher", aka Am Ch Wolfmountains Watchin 'Z' Terraglo.


Viking has surpassed our expectations as a show dog by being a Best in Show Winner, Multiple Specialty winner, a multiple RUBISS winner, and a multiple RUBIS winner at all breeds level. He will been shown sparingly in 2012 as we take time off from Dog Showing for family committments.

At the tender age of 18 months at the Alaskan Malamute Club of NSW Specialty Show 2007, Viking finished his championship by being awarded Dog Challenge and RUBISS under the famous Nancy Russel of Storm Kloud Kennels USA, who has been in the breed for over 40 years. We feel this award by Nancy was the ultimate compliment for any malamute owner.

Viking has a stunning head piece, is a powerful mover, is clean on the move with correct side gait and length of leg. It is without a doubt that this dogs ancestors are show dogs from working lines.
