Chewy,now in doggy heaven above is still the highest winning Akita to hit Queensland. He is a multi Best in Show winner and the first Grand Champion Akita in Qld.He finished off his final points to his Grand Champion in Style with 4 Best in Show Awards. What a delight to show,he really had the X Factor!!!He will never be forgotten - as his Arrogance, Look at Me Attitude and Presence in the Ring was amazing. Winning Veteran at Brisbane Royal at Nine was a great way to play in Retirement.
His show career has been very fulfilling, with some of his wins being;
17 Best in Show awards,
10 Runner up in Shows,
Best in Group at the Toowoomba Royal 2001 & 2002,
Best of Breed Brisbane Royal 2003
Queensland Dog of the Year Finalist 2003
Best Veteran in Show Brisbane Royal Ekka 2006 at 9 years of age.
He has also won numerous Best in Groups and Class entries, under local & international judges. He is a valuable asset to the breed and has stamped his wonderful assets on to his progeny- 2 Daughters now titled- Pinemist Amidala and Pinemist Heavenly Diva!!!He is now a Grandfather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
