Valder is a special addition to the Piaffe Kennel and arrived late in 2010. He is the first to be imported from the Twyborn Kennel, the top Swedish breeder the last 3 years running. His mother, Swedish Champion Twyborn Grey Gardens has been the top whippet in Sweden for a number of years. Valder has attained his title and has been winning consistently at breed and group level both at All Breeds and Specialty shows.
Valder is shown here in Sydney at Easter 2012 when he won the open dog class at the NSW Whippet Specialty at just 22 months under Mrs Elisabet Janson of Sweden. She described him as “ well balanced, kept his outline standing and moving, good head with dark eyes, sound in movement and hindquarters.” He also placed second in another very competitive Open Class at the Sydney Royal.
Valder is starting to prove himself as a stud dog with his daughter Piaffe Twyborn Affair "Violetta" a BIS winner at 8 months, a Champion at 10 months and multiple group winner. Another daughter Piaffe Melancholia was runner up in show at the Samford Show in 2014 under breed specialists, Mr and Mrs Collicutt.
Winning Dog Challenge at the Melbourne Royal in 2013 was a highlight. Valder has been shown lightly but continues to make his mark at breed and group level.
