Rooi is the culmination of careful breeding and the first "Liver" nosed hound produced by Ujamaa Kennels in over thirty five years of breeding. A singleton she ticks every box. Striking in appearance with an awesome ridge and gait to match, she loves strutting around the ring. A lovely girl to live with she has acquired her Dam and Grand Dams laid back nature and loves meeting other hounds and their humans. Her hooligan antics were inherited from her Sire and and Grand Sire, who both have reputations for naughtiness and mischief. It is with delight that I continue to exhibit both as a hobby and to ensure that breed quality is profiled. Rooi achieved her Aust Championship title at 13 months of age with both BOB, BCC & one Class in group along the way. She is Ujamaa's first liver nose born and titled, very proud. Rooi was awarded Best Ridged Bitch and Best Ridge in show at RRCVinc 2013 Championship show 17th March 2013 under German Judge Ms P Stracke. Rooi was awarded another Best Ridge in Show along with Best Headed Bitch at the RRCV 2013 Open show. Rooi has collected several best ridge in show in her career (6 I think). Rooi completed her show career placing at the Rhodesian Ridgeback National Show in Melbourne in March 2017. She was placed 5th in the neuter bitch class and to top a stellar day was awarded BEST RIDGED BITCH and BEST BROWN NOSE IN SHOW. Critique from 2017 National "Ch Ujamaa Rooi Adaeze, 5 1/2 yrs. Another lovely liver nosed RR with class and bone. Good chest and depth, strong through back and loins, quarters sloped away, good lay of shoulder." BEST BROWN NOSE critique "My idea of a superb liver is the same as the Palomino horses we use to breed ie: the colour of a newly minted gold coin. This winner also had the sooty coloured mascara and nose pigment which ensures good depth of amber eye colour. We have only had one such - Mandambo's brother Malangundi (unshown)
