Imported in dam from Kirschental Kennels in Germany, known worldwide for the herding ability of their dogs and breeders of several top show dogs over the years. Harry has not been shown until now, due to family commitments, but has just been to his first weekend of shows, gaining 3 Runnerup Best of Breeds behind an experienced champion and finished with a Best of Breed. For these shows he was shown by a previously unknown handler and he had until then, met only a few people in his life, coming from an isolated country property, as well as having no show training.
Since then he has been shown at only 14 championship Shows and has won 12 Best in Breeds and 2 Runner Up Best in Breed. One of these being to his littersister, who he has subsequently beaten on 4 occasions.
In 2013 I decided to bring him back into the showring and entered him in the 2013 Sydney Royal. Despite being a dog who lives on an isolated country property, he took it all in his stride and I was delighted when he won Challenge Dog and was so outgoing and friendly with the general public who stopped to admire him.
He has excellent conformation, combined with an outstanding temperament, rich colouring and good hips, scoring a low 2.1 for hips and 0.0 for elbows. As well, six other littermates have been scored, all of them having exceptionally low scores, mainly 1.1-0.0., with his longcoat brother Fred scoring 1.0-0.0. He is
a litter brother to CH.Abbotsmoor Molly [Best of Breed LSC Brisbane Royal 2012], who has also won a Best Intermediate in Show.
His dam placed 2nd at Sydney Royal 2012 as well as 2 of her pups placed in their classes. Another littermate stock coat is a CH.,while 2 other littermates lightly shown have won C.C,s.
This litter represents the best of Kirschental Kennels herding bloodlines. All the littermates have strong colour, dark eyes, outstanding temperaments and 7 have already passed their H.I.T tests, including Harry.
