Takara was known as the big ‘Golden Boy’ – he was a biscuit dog with a beautiful large white tear drop shaped saddle on his back. He certainly stood out and was a magnificent example of what a white and biscuit Samoyed could not only look like but move like.

I remember when he was only a puppy - a judge accused me of showing a dirty dog! I suggested he go back to South Australia and read his breed standard!

Takara's superb movement and power brought him to the fore repeatedly and he was a multi BIS/BISS winner. Unfortunately, his show career ended prematurely when he was injured and the ligament in one hock was severed.

But he never forgot how to show his heart out when I would take him in Veterans.
