Ruby is of the older Deerhound type, lean and slim built, and supremely elegant. Throughout her development she has competed successfully, many times, against dogs older and larger than herself. Her temperament is superb, and her instincts are incredibly sharp, all the things I would want in a hunting hound.

At the beginning of her show career she was awarded JUNIOR IN SHOW at the Hawkesbury Agricultural Show in 2008.
Since the she has been awarded 10 BEST OF BREED and a further 8 BITCH CHALLENGE Certificates and many R/U IN BREED, not counting the recent list below. Many of these at the specialty shows such as THE SIGHTHOUND ASSOCIATION, THE HOUND CLUB OF NSW and THE HUNTER VALLEY HOUND CLUB. After a break from showing in 2011 and 2012 I am very happy to be out with Ruby at the shows again.

Ruby is now the founding bitch of LAINNIR DEERHOUNDS and I have imported semen from GCH CH FOXCLIFFE THISTLEGLEN TRIBUNE, the same American bloodlines as her sire. I hope to have a litter from this impending AI IN 2013.

News 2014.... After 2 failed AI's I will no longer attempt to breed from Ruby. I am devastated as I had dreamed of this for 4 years. So now...

I await the arrival of EILRIG GALENA early in Jauary, a great granddaughter of my Amber so maybe all is not lost ???

DEERHOUND CLUB OF VICTORIA SHOW 2014 my beautiful Ruby was the Reserve Challenge Bitch and Veteran Bitch What a great result for her, and her brother Ardtalamcu Pawnee was BIS. Her niece Lena also had a great family success.
