Judge Profile

I have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for over 40 years and have spent my weekends at dog shows since before I was able to walk. Having grown up in a family of Gundog enthusiasts, I have had direct involvement in Irish Setters, English Cockers, American Cockers and English Pointers. Family involvement in German Shepherds, Akitas & Cavalier King Charles Spaniels has also seen me regularly handle these breeds over the years.

I have successfully been exhibiting & breeding Bearded Collies for almost 30 years with Stylwise prefixed Beardies wining Best in Shows at both All Breeds & Specialty level as well as gaining titles in Conformation, Herding & Agility. I have also owned and titled Greyhounds and a Wire Fox terrier.

I had the pleasure of spending an extended period of time in the USA handling many different breeds including Bearded Collies, Wire Fox Terriers, Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, Miniature Schnauzers, Shiba Inu, Bull Mastiff, Bichon Frise and Miniature Bull Terriers.

I have been involved in club administration from an early age with the Junior Kennel Club’s in both South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. More recently as Vice President of the Bearded Collie Club of NSW (2006 – 2012) and Vice President of the ACT & District Combined Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Club (2011-present).

Currently ANKC licenced to judge Utility, Working Dogs, Hounds and Gundogs at Championship Show level and looking forward to being able to judge Terriers at Open Show level.

I've judged breed shows for Beardied Collies (USA), Border Collies (NSW) & Saint Bernards (NZ) as well as Working Dog specialties in Western Australia & Tasmania and a Gundog specialty in South Australia. Nominated to judge the Bearded Collie Club of America National 2016.
