I was introduced to the world of show dogs at the end of the seventies and have been involved in the Non Sporting group since that time, first exhibiting Shih Tzus then the Lhasa Apso, a breed which has remained my passion to the present day. I have also owned and /or handled a number of other breeds, specifically Hungarian Puli, Lowchen and Poodles. .
I have always been interested in becoming a Tibetan Breeds specialist and whilst the three groups I am licensed to judge support that interest, I love all the breeds within these groups. I have judged in most states of mainland Australia as well as Scandinavia where I have judged a number of National and International shows as well as being a member of the panel that judged the World Dog Show circuit in 2008.
I am currently on the panel of the Show Judges Training Committee as the Non Sporting Convenor; a position I have held for a number of years. I had also been the President of the Non Sporting Dog Club over a long period of time, am foundation secretary of the Oriental Breeds Society of WA and secretary of the West Australian Kennel Club. Such club involvement allows me the opportunity to give back something to the dog world which has been a part of my life for a considerable amount of time.
Professionally, I have been involved in the field of education for most of my working life.
