Judge Profile

I have been showing dogs since 1971, starting out as a child handler and was extremely lucky to have been mentored by some of the most wonderful exhibitors in Australia at the time. I am an inaugural member of the Border Collie Club of Victoria. As a longstanding Committee member and Secretary of the BCCV, I was bestowed a Life Membership in 1990. I was an inaugural and continuous member of the Working Party for the Border Collie National Event 2014 with an entry in excess of 600 Border Collies, across a variety of disciplines.

Successfully exhibiting Border Collies continuously since 1971, I have been awarded many specialist and other prestigious awards, which includes multiple Group awards at Melbourne Royal with home bred Border Collies. With my sister under the Maghera Kennel prefix, I also have had an interest in English and Irish Setters, Bearded Collies, Standard Poodles, Chinese Crested Dogs and recently my nephew’s British Bulldog.

Gaining my Judging licence in 2002, I have had an ongoing special interest in all herding breeds and have been greatly honoured to judge at specialty shows for Shetland Sheepdogs, Border Collies and Bearded Collies throughout Australia and New Zealand.

I am very conscious of new exhibitors and like to encourage and assist them to bring out the best in their dogs.
