To provide you with a brief background about myself, I live with my husband Darryl on 3.5 acres backing onto Suzannah Brook in the Swan Valley, one of WA’s premium wine growing districts. With the wineries, restaurants, chocolate and nougat factories within a short stone throw away it is easy to understand why we refer to our home and property as our little slice of heaven.

I have worked in the IT industry for over twenty years, and currently hold the position as Microsoft’s Public Safety & National Security Industry Market Development Manager for Australia. I have been fortunate enough with my career to travel the world which has provided the opportunity to meet some very inspiring people and see firsthand how technology can change and impact people’s lives for the positive. As a people orientated organisation, being employed by Microsoft has also highlighted to me over the years the importance of mentoring and the development of people as individuals and as part of a broader team. As such, I try to apply these same principals and learning’s when introducing new people to our beloved breed and the world of dog sports.

I grew up with German Shepherds in WA and purchased my first Dobermann at the age of 18. My introduction to showing was over two decades ago with Rhodesian Ridgebacks, however, I soon realised that I preferred the temperament, intelligence and energy levels of the Dobermann and it became obvious that they as a breed were more suitable to my requirements as a companion and show dog.

Since then Bravadobe has gone on to become the home of Supreme and Grand Champions, Multi Best in Show and Multi Best in Specialty award winning Dobermanns. Our breeding is competitively shown and trialled around Australia and overseas with a great amount of success. To date we have bred 57 Champions, including 4 Supreme Champions, 8 Grand Champions and 3 American Champions, one of which became the first and to date only Australian Bred Dobermann to win an All Breeds Best in Show in the USA.

Bravadobe Dobermanns has bred and/or owned 18 All Breeds Best in Show winners, in addition to 8 Best in Specialty Show winners. This includes the last Australian Dobermann National Best in Show winner “Keno”, Supreme Champion Bravadobe Pure Anarchy (AI) ET WAC which I had the honor of showing at the prestigious event.

As well as taking out top awards in the show ring, we are also very proud that some of the dogs we have bred are performing duties as service and therapy dogs and that our breeding has also been recognized for their fantastic aptitude in the working arenas such as obedience, tracking, endurance, temperament and agility with over 46 working titles, including the prestigious Register of Merit (ROM). ROM titles are only awarded by the National Dobermann Council of Australia and are the ultimate achievement for a Dobermann and means that the Dobermann has earned an Australian Championship, a minimum of one working title and passed the Dobermann temperament test, proving that they are the all-round well balanced Dobermann … conformation soundness and beauty, trainability and brains and a stable temperament.

Currently I am campaigning Carter “Supreme Champion Parima Ghost Rider At Bravadobe (AI) IMP NZ” who to date has been awarded 12 All Breeds Best in Shows (Best in Show 1st), 1 Specialty Best in Show, 8 All Breeds Runner Up Best in Shows (Best in Show 2nd), winner of the prestigious 2015 Contest of Winners and is currently Western Australia’s #1 Show Dog All Breeds all before 2.5 years of age.

I have had the privilege and the opportunity to judge specialties both within Australia and overseas.

Outside of exhibiting my own beloved breed, I also have shown for breeders and owners of Boxers, Rottweilers, Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Great Danes, Golden Retrievers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, German Shorthaired Pointers and Newfoundlands over the past two decades.
