2012 BREED CHALLENGE RULES
These rules should be read in conjunction with
rules covering all pointscore competitions.
Remember - All results need to be submitted to us within 30 days of the event/show.
We strongly recommend that you submit the result the day you receive it to prevent future unforeseen circumstances stopping you from entering it within the 30 day time limit. Entering the result on the same day will also place the result into our Show Results section in a timely manner.
The Breed Challenge recognises consistent performers at breed level.
Eligible results can be entered from any All Breeds Championship Show or Specialty Championship Show in Australia.
- Only the best 40 results (points value) will be included. The pointscore system will automatically select the best 40 results from the results that are submitted. We recommend that ALL your eligible results are submitted to our system so that they can also be included in our new 'Show Results' section.
- Tie-Breaker - In the event that 2 or more dogs have the same number of points, the dog with the most Best of Breed wins (out of the top 40 results) will be placed first.
- The following results are eligible.
- Best Of Breed
- Dog Challenge
- Bitch Challenge
- A Best in Show win at a single breed specialty (that is not split into various varieties eg Belgian Shepherd), needs to be submitted as a Best of Breed win.
- For the purposes of this pointscore competition, Members Only Shows/Competitions are not classed as Specialty Shows.
- Points Allocation
Points will be allocated based on the challenge points received for the breed only. Do not include any extra challenge points received if you go on to win the group. Please keep your challenge certificate so that it can be produced as verification if requested. Do not send us your challenge certificate unless we request it.
- There is no restriction as to what state of Australia the win occurs in as the tally is only at a National level and is not split into state tallies.
Certificates
will be awarded in the Best of Breed Competition for
- National Winner for each breed (if there is no outright winner after using the tie-break formula, no certificate will be given)
