2008 BREED COMPETITION
Select the competition from the tabs below to see the rules for that competition.
The Breed Competition is an extension of the Show Dog of the Year Competition and will be used to recognise National leaders at the breed level.
Eligible results can be entered from any All Breeds Championship Show or Specialty Championship Show in Australia.
- The following results are eligible.
- Best in Show
- Runner Up in Show (or Best in Show 2nd)
- Best in Group
- Runner Up in Group (or Best in Group 2nd)
- Best of Breed
- Runner Up Best of Breed
- For the purposes of this pointscore competition, Members Only Shows/Competitions are not classed as Specialty Shows.
- The number of points allocated is based on the number of dogs beaten. For example, a Best in Show win with a total entry of 600 will be allocated 599 points (as 599 other dogs were beaten). A Reserve in Show win at the same show would receive 598 points. Point allocation for Group wins is based on the total number of entries in the group. Absentees are not deducted.
- For Best of Breed wins or Runner Up of Breed wins only, we will add one additional point to the score that would have otherwise been awarded (following the formula above). This will compensate breeds that may only have one entry at the show. (ie every Best of Breed win will earn at least 1 point).
- There is no restriction as to the what state of Australia the win occurs in as the tally is only at a National level and is not split into state tallies.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Certificates
will be awarded for all
National Breed winners.
