RISING STAR OF THE YEAR 2008

The Rising Star of the Year 2008 competition will be used to recognise National as well as State leaders for All Breeds for the up and coming youngsters (up to 18 months of age).
Eligible results can be entered from any All Breeds Championship Show or Group Specialty Championship Show in Australia.
- The following results are eligible to be entered and the points that will be allocated are displayed. Points allocated are a flat rate regardless of the number of entries in the show.
- Junior, Puppy, Minor Puppy or Baby Puppy in Show - (50 points)
- Junior, Puppy, Minor Puppy or Baby Puppy in Group - (20 points)
- Junior, Puppy, Minor Puppy or Baby Puppy of Breed - (5 points)
- Only the highest award per exhibit per show will be counted.
- Points will be doubled for Royal Show wins in the capital cities. (ie Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin). Points for these shows will only be awarded where there is a runoff for that class in the breed.
- The following rules apply to the State component of the Rising Star of the Year competition.
- For the purposes of the competition, the 'State', as specified in the point score (herein referred to as the 'competition state') will be defined as the state where the dog has been resident for the majority of the year.
- There is no restriction on the number of interstate shows that can be included.
- In cases where it is difficult to define the 'competition state' we will use our discretion to determine the 'competition state' based on the facts presented. This decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
