Details - We took our own caravan and it was a beautiful area. The area is like a long spit with the river on one side and a beautiful surf beach on the other side. You can hire boats and canoes and go fishing. There was also a pub next door with passable meals and lots of areas to go 4WDing such as along the beach or through some bushland.
We also took our bikes and plenty of bike paths through town and down to the beach but make sure you wear your helmet as the policeman sits on his front porch and watches everyone. I believe that Bushland Holiday Park also has some cabins available too. In all a beautiful area and a very relaxing Easter weekend we had.
Rating - (Out of a possible 5 ... 5 being excellent)

Details - Just been back for our second visit as first one was five years ago. Took a group of friends and the park was still great. The kids loved the mini putput and the kids club during the holidays. The unpowered sites are much improved with more grass and new trees slowly growing.

Details - Fantastic camping ground, lots of friendly dogs and plenty of space to spread out. Popular minigolf course that looks very challenging. Great for fishing and campsites along the riverbank are beautiful and shaded if you can get one. We'll definately be back.

Details - Loved the place. Like country sea towns of old. Fantastic service and great setting. Slow pace. Taking dogs is not a problem and amenities are terrific. Lots to do and visit in the local area. Surf beach nearby. Canoeing and fishing - the local river abutts the camp. Bring your bike as the town streets and the beach at low tide are great for cycling. Large conch shells available(in the post office - where they are sold to city tourists like us for use as tooth brush and soap holders). We are fooled into thinking that these shells roll in on the tide - in fact they get caught in fishermens nets when trawling. Thanks Bob and Chrissy!!!!!!!.
