Details - Stayed for a long weekend last year. The cottage was immaculate and the garden fully enclosed. Lots of sand flies so take deterrent. Islanders all very helpful and friendly. Just a shame the beach was so small - couldn`t really go for a walk on it. But a small price to pay for such a beautiful cottage.

Details - Well, we have had a great week at Karra, some boating and fishing, walks and swims, and a beaut relaxing time in general.
We will definitely be going back again. The island is peaceful, loads of birdlife that you can hand feed when the wee duigies are not looking. Dont wander out into the channel in front of the house though, dangerous sinking black mud, lovely sandy beach and swimming enclosure further down that was refreshing in the afternoons, and full of prawns in the morning !
The house is very family oriented and the verandah is huge which is great for the dogs as it keeps them out of the dirt. A good thing to take with you is some grooming spray and loads of doggie towels.
You need personal repellant and mossie coils.
Very reasonable tariff and a lovely barge ride to get there. No shops, but there is a Kiosk on neighbouring Lamb and two supermarket type shops and a butcher and chemist on McLeay. You can go for ferry rides around the islands and kick back with a good book. Nice dog friendly people around with hounds of their own.

Details - Whether it was just to explore Karragarra or other islands by ferry with my dogs, the cottage was always an inviting and relaxing place to come home to. It simply lacked nothing and was a perfect base for that weekend away. The dogs loved it too!
