EST in 1993, we are located just outside Canberra. Breeders of Best In Show Royal, Best in Show Speciality & Best in Show All Breeds winning Australian & New Zealand Supreme Champions and New Zealand and American Champions & have exported show dogs back to the USA.
Tokay, who is the first Australian bred female Alaskan Malamute to gain her USA Championship and in 2013 we sent Syrah and Rocky to CA, USA as well.
After many visits to the USA we imported Ch Terraglo Make 'N' A Splish Splash, Ch Wolfmt Koolrunnings Ms Chievous, Am Ch Wolfmountain Special Ops, semen from Sizzle, Mozart, Quake, Clancy, KO, and Phoenix from Kasaan and Enzo from MyAlaskan in Denmark to provide us with the very best foundation possible.

We pride ourselves on our dogs presentation, their health and our puppies wonderful personalities which are suited to the show ring and make fantastic family pets.

All breeding stock are tested for hip & elbows, eyes, thyroid , PN and hold AMCA CHD certificates.

Alaskan Malamute in Australia FOUNDERS - My parents Tony & Merilyn Syme bred the 1st ever litter of Alaskan Malamutes in Australia in May 1981. Then approx 38 years ago, I took over the breeding from them. Both my parents are still very active in the Australian National Canine Ass. We have a legacy of Extremely High quality healthy beautiful natured Malamutes. CHIMO is a Globally recognised bloodline. We have bred numerous Supreme & Grand Champion’s as well as successful racing dogs, obedience & even had fun in lure coursing & tracking with our dogs. All round extremely well bred dogs. VERY Limited breeding occurs at CHIMO. Quality not quantity is my motto.

I got my first malamute in 1990 and fell in love with the breed.

I breed mainly for myself for show dogs/breeding program and desex the other puppies which are sold as pets to approved homes.

I am not BIG in the show scene but I am BIG on doing the best for my dogs!

My Mals are eye tested, thyroid, hip and elbow checked before being bred from. They are also screened for the Poly Neuropathy gene.

Annakpok breeds for health, structure, conformation, tempermant and quality. Not quanitity.

There is American, Canadian & Australian Champion, Grand Champion & Supreme's, behind all my dogs. Yrs have been spent importing semen & dogs from Canada, America, England, Russia & Belarus, & careful bloodline research - to weed out health issues to improve our breed.

I only breed really when I want to add to my own pack, and dont breed too often, because I always end up keeping a pup... or 2. They are my babies first, and show dogs second. I barely show due to work commitments.

I drove them all across the country, from Perth to Queensland, in order to find acreage for them. We don't have kennels, and they all play with the cows, and swim in the dam. My dogs are very well balanced, also as I am qualified in behaviour.

Most my mals run together, which is quite rare, and all help raise the pups, so they are very well socialised when going to their new forever homes.

All puppies come vaccinated, wormed, health checked, micro-chipped and registered with Dogs Queensland. Also supplied with a puppy pack, and life long support. Intestate travel can easily be arranged at your cost.

Waiting lists are done for all litters, after you complete a puppy enquiry form.

Working primarily with Nanuke and Frostfield (pure kotzebues) and those kennels connected, with the addition of some special individual dogs from Winterchill and Adair n Hug.

We hope to be competitive in all areas (be it working, the show ring, wherever), but not at the threat of losing quality or integrity, or losing sight of what brought us here. The BREED, as family members and the breed's future, is far more important to us. "Family first, all else takes second place"

We are more than happy to work with those who have the Breed truly at heart, who believe in Honesty, & who have a Positive attitude to the future of the breed and to each other.
