Canicula Kennels’ breeding programme is based on pure working line Spaniels bred for their natural ability for hunting and performance in the field. In our breeding we concentrate on superior temperaments with a correct balance of drives using the finest overseas and local lines available.

Our dogs excel in traditional gundog Field and Retrieving disciplines, as well as non-traditional dog sports like Agility. Their high drive together with an easy, willing dependable disposition makes them a perfect choice for Service Personnel, Government Agencies, or Professionals working in the scent detection field.

A lot of the same qualities like sound stable temperament, and trainability that we revere in our working dogs are equally as important in pets making them suitable for active pet homes.

Innana is a small kennel situated in Glenbrook at the foot of the Blue Mountains. We generally have 2 or 3 litters of Cocker pups a year. Gold, Blacks, Gold and White colours.
My focus is on breeding dogs with wonderful temperaments that are Healthy. Our dogs all come from Ch. Bloodlines.
Puppies are raised inside with our family until old enough to spend some time outside. They are very loved and well socialised.
The training and socialisation of our puppies start at 3 days old. The puppies are very well socialised and confident when they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. We pride ourselves in the way we raise our babies and the ongoing support available if required.
Puppies are available to selected loving homes.

Henry our Gold Stud Dog is available for use by approved Registered breeders.
Henry has a wonderful, calm temperament and has graduated as a Therapy Dog.
Henry works in Hospitals and also is privileged to be an essential part of the team at Nepean Therapy Dogs..
He is a very gentle and affectionate boy and has produced some lovely puppies to date.
Henry is PRA and FN clear.

I also breed Working Cocker Spaniels which are rare in Australia.
They are used in Australia for Scent detection but are also brilliant Agility dogs and excel in K9 Nosework and other dog sports.
These are active dogs and need an active family.
Very loyal, intelligent and affectionate.

Shelpin is a home based kennel operated by Shellie Galpin. We are based in the Northern region of Brisbane with only occasional litters of puppies available.

After having loved and treasured cocker spaniel family members for several years, we decided the timing was right to expand into showing and more recently breeding. I have a particular emphasis in health testing, including the new testing available for AON as well of course as PRA and FN. Established in 1953 by Margaret Carter and then joined in partnership by Lyn Mellett in 2003. Romark has a long history in breeding Solid Cocker Spaniels, although in the early days there were some Parti Colours campaigned and bred. One of the more well known Parti Colours was the multi Best In Show winning dog, Black and White AC Trejollie Batswing Beau bred by David Roche and Norm Badman. We currently campaign both Golden and Black Cockers. Breeding is only undertaken when we wish something new to show ourselves and puppies are sometimes available to suitable forever homes.

All our puppies are raised in the house and come health checked, vaccinated and wormed.

We will not be breeding until 2025 and do not keep a waiting list.

Amityvalley is a kennel situated in Gippsland Victoria and our beautiful cockers are part of our young family.

I have been brought up with Cocker Spaniels through out my childhood and been involved in the showing and breeding of them for many years. I don't think I will ever be without a cocker this breed has definitely stolen my heart. I only aim to breed quality true to standard cocker puppies using quality bloodlines with clear tested profiles that have been in my family for years with the addition of quality selected imported bloodlines to further enhance our lines and breeding regime. My puppies are raised in my own home amongst my children who adore them as I did growing up. I am not a big breeder as my lifestyle doesn't allow however on the odd occasion I may have a litter and will only offer my puppies to forever loving homes. We do not do waiting lists as we have found people dont keep us updated. All enquiries are screened to make sure they understand the breed and can fit into new potential owners lifestyle, to ensure they go to forever cocker loving homes and to hopefully prevent our puppies requiring rehoming down the track. Our puppies are only offered as pets on limited register. Main register puppies can be considered for the right person in some circumstances.
