Miniature smooth Dachshunds A small Kennel established since 1997 breeder and exhibitor of pure bred dogs and a member of ANKC Dogs NSW since 1978 endeavouring to breed for sound dogs of quality type and temperament tested for PRA and SDMD.

We are situated on the far north coast of NSW near Ballina, and we have been breeding top quality miniature smooth dachshunds for almost 40 years. Our dogs are well known for their good temperament and breed type, we concentrate on good health and our dogs are tested clear for known genetic faults.
Several of our dogs have won best of breeds at Specialty and Royal Shows, plus Best in Show and Reserve to Best in show at Specialty and All Breed shows..
We breed sparingly generally 1 or 2 litters annually.
We breed and show mini smooth Dachshunds. Our dogs are house reared and bred to produce puppies with good temperament as well as correct conformation.

We have been showing Dachshunds for over 4 years now.In this time we have successfully campaigned 4 dogs to Australian Champion. All of our dogs have great temperament and are great with kids. Hi there! AASHUDNA is the name behind miniature dachshunds owned by Heather and Mark, located in SCONE, in the Upper Hunter, formally from Penrith we still come to Sydney regularly for work. Through ethical breeding and careful planning of future litters, we aim to preserve the true miniature dachshund with sound health, temperament, structure and movement.
We pride ourselves on our vigorous health testing including IVD x-ray screening on our breeding aged Dams, full DNA panels including PRA Cord 1, SDMD. Vet clearance certificates for patellas, eyes, cardiac and thyroid.
Our motivation is to create miniature dachshunds who fulfil their purpose of bringing joy and companionship to their humans, as well as being good examples of their breed by having the attributes a dachshund should have.
All our miniature dachshunds are treated as pets and when they 'do' have puppies they are raised in a home environment, available only to the best caring owners.

My daughter Tia has fallen in love Minature Daschshunds and a beautifuhas two girls Indie (Delamaine Time to Party) and Fourrivers Poppie (Indies Daughter). She has also a male Digby who is a Black and Tan boy with much love and energy. All dogs have been well bred and have wonderful temperaments. We are on a propery and they love to come in the ute or on the quad bike to assist.
The dogs are a little/lot spoilt and think they are human. A great companion to everyone in the house. Temperament is great and they have a lot of energy. Very clever so training has been easy.
I have been showing Dachshund Mini Smooths for about 11years now and we John my husband and I have decided to have a litter of our own we also have boxers that Melissa has been breeding and showing for almost 32years.

All our breeding dogs have been either genetically tested and clear of PRA or clear by parentage with copies of parents DNA reports.
All our puppies are raised inside with socialisation with the help of my 5 children who play and interact with puppies as they grow.
As I begin my journey as a Miniature Dachshund breeder it is with excitement and happiness as I feel I have given this decision great thought and consideration. I am absolutely in love with this delightful, loving, loyal breed. I run a small home based kennel and my dogs are very much a part of our family life. We are a small kennel starting our journey as miniature dachshund breeders. Our dogs are raised as part of our family and are well loved.
all our puppies are raised in a family environment with 4 children. and are cared for with the best of care. they are raised in a hygienic and temperature-controlled environment, so they are in comfort all the time. they will be vaccinated, wormed at 2-4-6 and 8 weeks, microchip, and will be sold on main or limited register with DOGS NSW. our pups also come with a brilliant puppy pack which includes TOYS, FOOD, BLANKETS and VALUBLE INFORMATION to help you with your new puppy when he/she arrives home. we welcome viewings of pups and parents but do not allow them to be handled until they have had their vaccinations at 6 weeks old.

I have owned Dachshunds for almost 6yrs. I have 4 female Dachshunds a Chocolate Dapple (Macie) Chocolate and Tan (Scarlett), Black and Tan (Pebbles) and the newest addition Chocolate and Tan (Stinky Slinky) and I have 2 boys a Black & Tan (Scooby), and a puppy boy called BamBam who is Chocolate and Tan. Scooby has been backscored with a great outcome. All my dogs that are at breeding age have had a full DNA profile completed before any breeding is carried out.
I enjoy showing them and Macie is a major show off in the ring which I love. Pebbles is not a fan of the ring so she doesn’t come, Scarlett like her mother loves to show off and stinky is yet to be shown. Scooby on the other hand would prefer to roll over then run on a lead. BamBam is yet to be shown.
I breed for both quality and colour. I am partial to the chocolate and tan & the chocolate dapple. I wanted for a long time to get a chocolate dapple bitch as I was wanting one with correct markings as well as confirmation. I was lucky enough to purchase Macie off Mel from Melton Acres in Qld.

Puppies are raised as part of the family, as I only have 2 breeding girls that I breed and put all my time into, they are extremely well looked after and raised on a farm.
Pups are use to cats, chickens and other farm yard animals.

RUSTRIANI kennel was established in 1985 when we bred and showed Pomeranians. Many of our Poms went to Champion status of which we were very proud.
We held membership in the RASCC, then it changed to Royal NSW Canine Council then changed to ANKC incorporating the state bodies and for us - DogsNSW.
After moving to northwest NSW in 1996 we concentrated on showing and breeding our miniature horses (Patricia is an accredited international horse judge) and to grow our horse stud. We have been extremely successful both in Australia and the USA with showing and importing our horses, but now retired after 30+ years we are now showing and breeding miniature smooth Dachshunds.
As we did with our horses, we selected from known bloodlines. We have 2 stud dogs available and 2 brood bitches. All are well credentialed.
We only breed to improve and show so only have puppies available occasionally. And these will only go to approved homes.
Our dogs live inside with us where they are centre of attention (what Dachshund isn't!) and puppies are raised within this family environment.
All our dogs are DNA tested, the boys are Back-scored for IVDD and enjoy a very low score :) and all are clear of SDMD (Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy). One boy is a PRA carrier so I will not accept a female to visit with him who is a carrier. Please don't ask me to waiver this just because you want the bloodline.

PRICE REDUCTION Midaka kennels are very happy to announce the arrival of 2x black and tan babies and 2x dapple babies. This litter will be registered through Dogs NSW on Limited and they will be ready for their new homes at the end of July.
There dad has attained the title of Australian champion.
