At GSDCA GM's the Affiliated Clubs have voted AGAINST a VOLUNTARY DM testing scheme. Despite this we will continue to use this test to help in the selection of breeding partners. We question why any Breeder would not test for DM. The test is non invasive and minimal cost to Breeder. We only breed with dogs that have been tested DM Clear.

Members of Dogs NSW & GSDCA support their breed schemes & adhere to their Code of Ethics. Recipient of the GSDCA Bronze & Silver Breeders Achievement Award now working towards our Gold.

All our puppies & older dogs are sold on the strict condition that our instructions on diet, weight control, exercise, use of Vitamin C basic obedience training are strictly adhered to. Pups can be purchased in installments commencing with a holding deposit of $500.00 at time of birth.

Kuirau Kennels have been breeding german shepherds, that have been competitive at National levels, since 1979. Through out that time we have been members of the GSDL and other associated
clubs, participating in their breed schemes. Fourty years of selective breeding from quality bloodlines, breeding for soundness of temperament and conformation.


Recipient of the GSDCA gold, silver and bronze medals for breed soundness in National Council hips and elbow schemes. We have bred multi excellent, breed survey class one animals with "A" & "Z" stamps on hips and elbows.

In 2013 our girl won the Bronze Medal but what we love most of all about her is her soundness of temperament and the love she gives us and our grandchildren.


We often have puppies available for pet homes as well as for show or obedience.

Vonehrlich Kennels were started by Helen & I in 1974 to breed quality animals for Show and Obedience and this is still our objective. In pursuing this passion we have imported dogs from Germany, including Vasall vom Kirschental,who is one of the best bred dogs to come to Australia and his bloodlines are found behind many current prominent GSD's.Most of our breeding stock is related to this sire.
Over the years we have produced many excellent graded dogs including National Bronze Medal winners - Vonehrlich Pasha, Vonehrlich Sonia and a National Reserve Challenge winner - Vonehrlich Elke.We have trialled in the obedience ring to excellent medallion standard.
Vonehrlich Sassi was judged Best Intermediate Dog at the 2018 National Show in a class of 39.
We are members of the German Shepherd Dog Club Of Qld for over forty five years and abide by their Code of Ethics.I am a past President and Life Member of this Club.
