Bronacre was the home of the legendary *Ch. Hasenway Wild Knight E.T. 'A' 'Z', the top winning specialist show dog. We are situated in the Central Highlands of Victoria. We are the breeders of numerous excellent graded dogs specifically Schaeferhund Quintina who was graded EXCELLENT SELECT at a Main Breed Show.
SCHAEFERHUND KENNELS RECEIVED THE ERICH ORSCHLER BREEDERS AWARD FOR THE YEAR
2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 AND 2014 AND RUNNERUP IN 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Schaeferhund Kennels also qualified for the Gold Medal for passes in the HD scheme and received the Gold Medal at the 2010 National.
Schaeferhund Quintina was awarded The Best Bitch Of The Year 2004.
Our Lexy (Ryzack Alexa) was also awarded The Best Bitch of the Year 2011.
Schaeferhund Rafael was Sieger in WA in 2017, 2018 and again in 2019.

We breed old type German Shepherds from imported lines that are predominantly from East German(DDR) lines as well as a selective lines that are West German and Czech Republic. These are dogs with straight backs, clear hip and elbows and health and dna certified. Our German Shepherds have nice thick and solid bone, large frames, large heads, thick muzzles and great dark pigment. We take great pride in our dogs and the level of care given to them.

Our emphasis is to produce a dog that can be utilized in working fields as well as a well balanced family dog with clear health and sound minds and stable temperaments and highly trainable. Our aim is to produce a dog that has strong abilities from planned and proven breeding and also has the following attributes: solid prey drive, strong man focus, solid nerves under pressure, sound environmental exposure, exceptional agility and athleticism and last but not least, a sound temperament around the kids and family is paramount.

Our pups are raised on a farm and have been exposed to goats, sheep, cattle, horses, cats, chickens, birds and kids.

VONROOK WORKING LINE GERMAN SHEPHERDS

We are a small breeder located just outside of Kilmore Victoria. I started VONROOK because I had the old style straight backed German Shepherds as a kid. My dogs were both loyal and protective and fit without fuss in our family environment. They were friendly to guests but fiercely protective of our home. These dogs were highly intelligent and calm. These are the characteristics we wish to continue and grow on as breeders of German Shepherd Dogs.

We are holding a collection of semen from dogs that compliment our standard with the goal of excellent health, stable temperament, balanced drives and thick nerve. Dogs that are clear in work and have full genetic grips.

Our dogs and puppies are raised on a full raw unprocessed diet.

We breed Working Line German Shepherds, producing dogs that are thick boned, solid and most importantly aim for healthy pups that are stable in temperament.

Our puppies leave us with lifetime support in obedience/behavioural training. They are suited to experienced homes as family pets or for handlers of sports performance disciplines.

We follow the DV breeding Code of Conduct. Our breeding dogs are X-ray scored through the CHED scheme and DNA tested for hereditary disease. We currently own our breeding females and outsource suited stud males. Our dogs live with us as family pets on our 5 acre property, they are not housed in a kennel environment.
They share our home with our 2 daughters, cat, mini pigs, rabbits and our Doberman and Dalmatian.

Those who enquire about a puppy are asked to complete an Expression of Interest Form.
Once pups are born we will schedule a meeting with potential owners.
From there successful applicants will be notified.

Zandrac is the home of Ch Kwint Vom Juerikstall a ED Imported from Netherlands. Pictured Unfortunately Kwint is no longer with us but his legacy lives on.

We pride ourselves on creating diverse bloodlines by the importation to Australia of quality Males & Females from Europe and in particular Germany. Our recent involvement with the importation of Toby von der Plassenburg in 2012 & arrival of Hatto vom Huhnegrab April 2013 highlights this. We are also pleased to have Xaro von der Plassenburg join AU land in 2014. In 2015 we have Charlotte von Tronje to join Zandrac & look forward to her babies leaving their mark. In 2017 we welcome Karlos Colbinain from England having been trained in Germany.

He is a high drive male with excellent health and confirmation. He is great around livestock but has high ball drive and is easy to train. Dread is excellent off lead and has a good level of suspicion but still clear in his thinking. He is defensive of his turf but friendly once introduced. Raven is a higher drive female. She has good ball drive and lives to please. Even with a high ball drive Raven is clear around kids. She is lovely family member and fantastic mother and puppy raiser. We expect she will imprint calmness and clarity on the progeny. Both pedigrees are literally littered with excellent working lines.
