First started showing dogs in 1977, our chosen breed than was an Afghan Hound. In the early 80s' we imported a dog from Australia to strengthen our future Vashti Kennel (Vashti means beautiful) aspirations. In the late 80s' due to family commitments, the dog showing world was put on hold, though still maintaining an interest with pedigree show dogs. When our last dog Max passed away in 2021, we reflected on the type of dog we could manage and would suit our retirement lifestyle. After much research and consideration the Havanese from Havana Cuba to be the right fit for us. We then set about purchasing our first Havanese in August 2021, little did we know what we had let ourselves in for! Our basis for breeding is always to adhere to the breed standard, confirmation, movement, health and temperament are all of high importance to our breeding programme. Breeders of show dogs.

Welcome to Tyinpi where we always bring a “Twinkle To Your Eye” Tyinpi is a small kennel based in South East Queensland, with over 15 years of experience dedicated to owning, exhibiting, and breeding quality dogs — which started with Border Collies. A few years ago, I was entrusted with my very first Havanese, and of course, they completely stole my heart. It’s impossible not to fall in love with such an intelligent, affectionate, loyal breed full of charm and charisma. My journey into the wonderful world of Havanese would not have been possible without the trust and mentorship from Carnwath, Hashki, Tiek, and Cubet Kennels. As with my Border Collies, my focus is on maintaining the breed standard through careful, ethical breeding practices. Conformation, health, temperament, and overall soundness are always my highest priorities. I only plan occasional litters, which allows me to devote extensive time, care, and attention to every breeding and every puppy raised. All planned matings are thoroughly researched and carefully considered. Puppies will be raised with a strong emphasis on early socialisation, enrichment, and positive experiences to help them develop into confident, well-rounded companions.
