We have established our Folkvangr Kennel after being involved with the breed for many years, during that time learning a huge amount from breeders in NZ and overseas.
We have shown Hungarian Vizsla's we have owned to their conformation titles in NZ, all of them earning group and show awards along the way. We have also exposed them to hunt tests with only the limitations of the handler slowing their progress, we plan to get involved in Field trialing in the future as we believe it is important for the breed to be recognised for not only conformation but hunting prowess also.
Now living in Australia we had our first litter here in 2019. We are so happy with the puppies , and have kept the female. We can’t wait to get her into the show ring.

Limited Register means you can NOT Breed, Show or Export your Pup. If you do there are consequences. If your pup turns out to be magnificant and worthy of breeding, showing or stud work we can discuss then moving them to a Main Register.

We are based in the Northern Suburbs of Perth.
Aiming to provide multipurpose and multitalented vizslas but most importantly loved family member.
Our foundation Vizsla, Baci - Ch. Asuare Dancing InTheMoonlight shows promise in and out of the show ring. She has done well in Scentwork, obtaining her Scentwork Novice title. She started trialling in Agility in 2022 and in 2023 she got 3rd place in Novice Jumping at the Agility National Championship. She has also obtained her Junior Courser title.
We have kept her son from our first litter, Maverick - Gyoztes Danube Dancer who is showing promise in both the show and performance rings just like his parents.
We hope to breed Baci again in 2024.

Our two Vizslas have been delightful family members, enjoying life with us on our rural property. They are extremely active, playful and affectionate. We raise our pups in a combination of indoor and outdoor settings and are deeply committed to providing them with a safe, happy and stimulating environment to ensure they have a gentle and affectionate nature. We breed to achieve a dark russet gold colour, medium size, deep chested pups with great temperaments.
All puppies are sold with a Limited Register Pedigree, are vet checked, vaccinated and wormed, microchipped and come with a puppy info pack. Puppies are sold to approved homes only and we are happy to provide ongoing advice and support once the pups go to their new homes. We keep you up to date regularly with photos of the pups as they are growing until they go to their new homes.

We have owned and loved the breed for over 12 years and owned gundogs for over 15. Our dogs are well loved family pets having been used for hunting as well as training and competing in numerous dog trials: Retrieving, Obedience, Agility, Rally and Tricks as well as attending Conformation Shows.
Being members of our local dog obedience club since 2006, each of our dogs has attended club for socialisation, fun and development of their skills in our chosen fields.
Our young son also helps us make sure we have well rounded and kid friendly dogs. Puppies are raised in a family environment and have plenty of space to run on our acreage.

We are Sunshine Coast based and have become obsessed with the beautiful Hungarian Vizsla after owning two of our own (our girl Luca and Carlos).
We are grateful to have been given the opportunity to produce Luca’s first litter in 2022 through our founding breeders Agasvari and Vizslavari, with 6 beautiful females. We are focused on producing for breed standards, confidence, intelligence, and loving temperaments.
Our Vizslas are our pets. We have participated in obedience with them since a very young age, both having passed through top grades of assessment. Luca demonstrates a high level of intelligence and is a hard-working little lady. Being her handler has been exceptionally rewarding.
Our pups will be raised in our home, where we focus on lots of love, socialisation, crate exposure and toilet training to allow the pups their best transition into their new homes. We openly shared Luca’s time as a mum with her pups, to allow their future owners to be part of their journey and intend to do the same for her next litter.
A potential Vizsla owner must be prepared for spending a lot of time with their companion so we do our best to ensure new owners are well informed and know what to expect. We are looking for dedicated and loving owners.
