Banbrook Labradors is a small country breeder based in Mansfield Victoria - gateway to Victoria's High Country.

We breed chocolate, yellow and black Labradors to the highest standard. All our dogs are bred and reared with a focus on family friendliness, as well as the characteristics of the good Labradors - above all we strive to improve the breed. (In fact all our puppies get more screening than our own children did! :-)

Our older dogs help us teach and socialise the youngsters, and we maintain and steady stream of human visitors to maximise the likelihood they will fit straight into your family environment - whatever that might be!

Our kennel includes one retired bitch, two active breeding bitches, and an aspiring stud dog. Together we share 50 acres of countryside.

We are a family of dog lovers who have the good fortune to own and breed beautiful Labradors right here in Yarraville, Victoria.
Our kennel name, Mangiato, is Italian and means ‘I’m eating’, in a continuous sense. We believe that if Labradors were allowed to write their own mission statement (and were suave enough to speak Italian) mangiato would about sum it up! Each of our litters is named after a type of food. For example our girl Lucy's litter was named after toast spreads! Her name is Mangiato Nutella, meaning I'm eating Nutella.

We are new Labrador breeders, and we are excited to announce our first litter with Amber. Amber is a lovely yellow Labrador with beautiful faithful nature and temperament and is our family dog. She has been mated with a Fox Red Lab also with a lovely temperament and nature. We believe that their pups will be wonderful family pets.

Ambers’ pups will all be yellow with a variation from cream to fox red or a mix of both and they are due at the end of April 2023 and will be ready for their family homes at 8 weeks old.

Amber lives on a farm with her buddy “Pepper” and has many walks along the beach socialising with other dogs.

Both parents have good hip/elbow scores and have DNA tests.

The pups will be available with a puppy pack, containing information and copies of Pedigrees from their parents. Pups are available to be viewed from 6 weeks. The pups will be register with Dogs Victoria on the limited register.

All puppies are microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, vet checked, and registered with Dogs Victoria on the limited register

Having grown up in a Labrador loving and breeding family, it was not until later in life I had my very own Labrador, Ruby. Our son Ned grew up not knowing life without her. They were soulmates. Or in Irish Celtic, anamcara. Ruby had 3 beautiful litters of pups and gave us many years of love before she died at the age of 14.

A year later we welcomed our gorgeous black lab, Kelly into our family. Kelly had her first litter in 2023 and will have another later in 2024. She is joined with Gunnerson Labradors "Lucifer". Together they produce beautiful puppies of all 3 colours.

We don’t intend to ever be big time breeders but the breeding we do comes from years of experience and complimented by the guidance and advice from some of the best Labrador breeders in Australia and England.

Our dogs and puppies live on 120 acres and are exposed to and socialised with chickens, sheep, cows and a horse. They are showered in love from our children and larger family.

Our philosophy is to responsibly breed healthy, happy and naturally gorgeous Labradors for families looking for their anamcara.
