Since our induction to the breed 30 years ago back in 1993, we have since IMPORTED a total of 14 Shiba Inu directly from Japan. All of which were personally selected by both Shiba Specialist & All breeds Judge friends in Japan for our Sherae kennels breeding program.

With this it has been possible to maintain our own recognised & TRUE JAPANESE TYPE, and lines over all that time. This has also enable us to keep any breed problems to a minimum.

We are also pleased to advise that in respect of the breed & what it is, that we also carry all colours that are recognised by NIPPO / JK.C / U.K. KENNEL CLUB / & ANKC.

Although we enjoy great success in the show rings, our Shibas are our family companions first and are usually found making themselves comfortable on our couches & beds. Our Shibas' health & happiness is of the utmost importance to us.

We are not a "Kennel Facility" and as such do not keep a large number of dogs. We breed selectively and only when we wish to keep a puppy for ourselves, additional puppies are then available to only the best of homes. All babies are raised in our home, no expense is spared to ensure them the very best start to life.

All of our breeding animals have passing hip & patella scores & are eye tested clear (with gonioscopy) prior to breeding.

We have several litters planned for 2023 - including one due later in April 2023 and other girls have been mated & all going well, are due in the coming months. It is likely we will have pups available from these litters & we welcome your enquiry.

All puppy or older dog enquiries need to go through the Application for the Wait List on the website - although you are welcome to contact me direct for show enquiries.
We are always on the look-out to see quality pups in the ring and only pups going into the show ring will be available on the Main Register - all other pups are on the Limited Register, not for breeding or showing.

We conduct health testing on all our dogs prior to breeding - AVA hip & elbow, patella grading and eye testing - copies of parental health clearances are provided with pups.

Any enquiries for use of one of our dogs at stud will only be considered if the bitch is registered on the Main Register with the pedigree papers are in your name (or overseas equivalent) and she has been fully health tested to our satisfaction prior to breeding.

We have only had this breed since 2014, a bitch from the Snowstars kennel, however have been successfully showing and breeding Pomeranians and Standard Poodles in excess of 30 years. In 2015 we imported our male, Taiyou, from the famous Kagiyasou kennel in Japan bred by Mr Mori.

We purchased a bitch in 2016 with the type of Japanese lines we would like to continue. We acquired a stud puppy in 2017, having kept a bitch from our own prefix in 2016. We have titled all 7 of our showdogs to their Champion status. In 2019 we were fortunate to source a UK bred male from Japanese lines from Rakurai kennels. Taiyou our Japanese dog has achieved his Supreme title winning 2 x Best in Show and 2 x Runner up Best in Show. He was top Shiba Inu Australia 2018 (Dogzonline) Taiyou won Best of Breed at Brisbane Royal 2016 Chie Ejima - Japan and in 2017 as well as Best of Breed Sept 2016 under specialist Mr Satoshi Besho (Japan) July 2018. Now campaigning a grandaughter of his.

Taiyou is available at stud to approved bitches with conditions.

Kaikatsu new owners are carefully selected. WE DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS

We expect our new owners to visit and meet us and our dogs irrespective of your location, or video call from more remote places.

Alongside our team of Tibetan Mastiffs we have owned and shown Shiba Inu for several years. We have a lovely family of Shibas we share our home with, 3 stunning imported males from Japan & France and 6 Temzin bred girls plus our elderly Shiba boy.

We at Tsukiyo Shiba Inu are doing our very best to breed Shiba Inu for the conformation show ring. Importing many quality shiba lines, following the standard written by ANKC and aspiring to the standard put down by Nihon Ken Hozonkai

Every shiba we have has been health tested to a very high standard. We are very proud of our breeding program and have produced some stunning puppies for us to show and for our families to own as great examples of the breed.

Our babies are raised in our home, well socialised with our children and cat! They are exposed to lots of socialising environments and trained to sleep in crates from 6wks old. Begin toilet training with different trays and mats indoor. Also outdoor on grass from a young age! Lead trained and some puppies have had lots of show training also. We believe that helps in raising a more rounded shiba.

HarukaSou is a newly establised SA Shiba Kennel which aimed to preserve and promote Pure Japanese Shiba Inu to Australian.

I am imported my two Shiba Inus from Japan in May of 2022.
Female Umeko (Japanese for plum child) is a beautiful even tempered girl who is very affectionate, an unusual trait in a shiba.
Male Ringo (Japanese for apple) is a typical shiba who will reward your patience with a brush against the legs.
Their first litter was a success so I do plan to breed again in future.
