Here at Shawthing we are aiming to produce quality whippets with our dynamic foundation stock. Thanks to the support of some great & experienced breeders we have been blessed with some truely beautiful whippets. Our first whippet was Gr Ch Devine That's My Opinion Imp NZ. Thatcher is a multiple Best In Show winner & a proven Sire with many of his progeny making their mark in the showring.
His daughter Ch.Oakway Party Trix is a multiple Best In Show winner & the current Queensalnd Puppy of The Year(2008). Then his son Ch Oakway Party Ice is also a Runner Up Best In Show winner & a multiple Group winner. Both of these kids are only 2 yrs old & are heading for awesome Show Careers.
Our homebred Shawthing Onya Scooter is blazing the way to a successful show career already winning the Baby Puppy dog Class at the Whippet Assoc of Vic Specialty Show & many Baby in Groups. We look forward to the future for this promising young man.

I am a small kennel & have been showing Whippets for over 20 years now. I breed for the correct standard height in a Whippet, type & outgoing personalities.
I am registered Whippet breeder with Dogs Queensland. In that short period I have spent most of that time learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking, & learning from those in my breed & those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them & spend an equal amount of time finding them the best loving forever homes. I only put puppies on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) & nicest examples of their breed. I continually support each family who choose one of our puppies & let them know they are now a part of my extended family. I am there if one needs to come back & I will aggressively pursue the return of one of my dogs if it's in the wrong place. I support The Whippet Club of Queensland in rescue and education. I hold them when they arrive & when possible I am there when they leave this world. I share my knowledge & socialize my dogs so that they will be the advertisement for our dedication. I do not keep track of the money, the time & the love that we put into my dogs, it would not be a true measure of how I feel. The price of my puppies is never for profit, but for investment in the next generation. I am not ashamed of who I am, I work hard at being a responsible dog person and encouraging others to be the same. I am a proud breeder, dog exhibitor and a Whippet lover.

We keep Pedigreed ANKC Registered Whippets and no other dogs.

Never more than 2 litters bred from any bitch. Females only bred between their ages of 3 to 7 years. All breeders have achieved show ring successes.

I am situated north of Brisbane and fell in love with the breed many years ago and have been owned by them since 2011.

My dogs are first and foremost members of our family and love to cuddle on the lounge nearly as much as walks along the beach. I also participate in Confirmation Showing and Noseworks because of this temperament, personality and soundness are my key objectives

I only breed when we are looking for a new member for my team and my puppies are born and raised in my family home and are happy, outgoing members of my family.

Je t’aime Whippets are brought up in a loving home by the seaside on the Gold Coast. They are used to all house noises, sea breeze, sun bathing with birds singing and playing at ‘puppy park’ their private preschool garden.

Puppies are sold wormed, vaccinated, microchipped, with DNA report, DNA parentage certificate, Royal Canin puppy pack and pedigree registered at Dogs Qld (Canine Council).
Pets will be on limited register, but enquiries for full register and show homes are welcome.

We breed for health and longevity, raise to let the puppies express their beautiful temperaments and train to make each puppy the best pet you can dream of!
Vertu puppies are exposed to ENS, enriched with The Puppy Culture, brought up indoors, fed RAW species appropriate diet, well socialized, started on the right foot with the toilet training and mending (asking for attention and food politely).
Our puppies are thoroughly health checked including the heart and the eyes, vaccinated and microchipped.
Each puppy comes with a Haqihana harness, six weeks complementary PetCover insurance, Dogs Qld membership for a year, two weeks food supply, feeding and caring info and a life long support.

We are looking for like minded pet parents for our puppies.
