Well known as a successful breeder and exhibitor of Basset Hounds since 1975 and Pointers since 1986, I have now formally committed to Whippets. Whippets have resided at Chakrata since 1996 and have been successfully exhibited for Skyeway (Jon & Annabel Gunn) in the past. I am now experiencing some rewarding and enjoyable times with my own stock in the conformation show ring, and have been top breeder of Whippets (DOL Pointscore) in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and leading in 2021 (NB 2020 was cancelled due to COVID).
i am licensed for five groups as a Conformation judge, those being Toys, Terriers, Gundogs, Hounds and Working Dogs. My judging experience has encapsulated Specialties in many breeds as well as Groups and the opportunity to judge abroad.

Hydale is a small kennel, based about 1 hour out of Adelaide, Sth. Aust. Our WHIPPETS are best known for quality, including our blacks and blues. We have also shown Greyhounds, R.C. Collies, German Shepherds, Border Collies, Basenjis and Alaskan Malamutes. We have continually strived to maintain the quality of our whippets; of any colour, with a focus on maintaining quality and type.
When we breed our bitches, it's for our benefit. Our whippets are competitive in the show ring, easily trained for obedience or agility, and make great companions.
Bloodlines include: Collooney, Bundoon, Aslan, Coeurdelamer, Taejaan, Oakway, Pressage, Sheberghan, Statuesque, Swifthund, Allswell, Arbee, and Dreamstar.
Our most recent Champions to be exported = (December 2018 - Hawaii) + (June 2018 - Hong Kong) include Ch Hydale th Max Factor who has sired litters in Hawaii, and also going BEST OF BREED at his first show, and BEST IN GROUP at his 2nd outing. Some of our other exports have sired / given birth to litters residing and showing in Hong Kong, Europe and America. Litters in 2022 - 2023 are expected to include bloodlines imported from England and/or NZ + from semen stored prior to Max leaving Australia. Puppy Listing will appear on this site.

Skyeway Kennels have been established since 1969 when Betty and Annabel Hart began exhibiting & breeding Cairn Terriers and later joined by West Highland White Terriers. Whippets joined us in 1975 when we bought our first whippet from Martinique Kennels which set up our strong relationship we have enjoyed with Ian Doherty and Terry Crowley for many years. Not long after 1975, I (Annabel) married Jon Gunn, also a breeder and exhibitor of whippets, and the three of us combined our experience to produce many champions and Best in Show winners, particularly at Specialist shows.
At our small yet select kennel, based at Goolwa in South Australia, we strive to produce quality, good natured, sound dogs that epitomise the standard. In keeping our kennel small we are able to enjoy this beautiful breed, not just as kennel dogs, but first and foremost - as our much loved pets.

Ashsinhalt Whippets are an ANKC registered breeder, located in Adelaide, South Australia. We are not a kennel but a dog crazy family. Our pairings are made with a strong focus on health and temperament above all else. We strive to breed healthy, long lived adaptable companions through extensive health testing and superior puppy raising protocols.

Breeding whippets has been a goal and a passion of mine for many years. I am entirely dedicated to the preservation and improvement of this breed, ensuring I am breeding close to all aspects of the breed standard.
We are whippet enthusiasts with a unique goal; to bring back the original purpose and temperament of the Australian pedigree whippet, an outgoing, confident, stable and intelligent dog, a dog that can relax in a home environment, dedicated to loving its family, but intense and strong when working the field.

Our whippets are tested: Hip, Elbow and Spinal scoring, full Embark DNA panel, ACES eye screening, Echocardiogram Heart screening, Thyroid and Rhabdomyolysis testing.
All of our dogs compete in a number of different dog sports including Conformation, Lure Coursing, Weight Pull, Sledding, Scent Work, Agility, Tricks, Rally and Obedience.

Welcome to Teshkamere Whippets!

We are an ANKC registered, small home based kennel in Largs Bay, South Australia. We are extremely passionate about producing and raising happy, healthy and well rounded whippets that are true to standard and fit for function, and that fit perfectly into the family home.
We strive to produce Whippets that are not only beautiful family companions, but that also have the ability to excell in various sporting disciplines including, but not limited to conformation, lure coursing, agility and flyball.

We believe in promoting best practice principles for the raising of our puppies and as such, dedicate a large amount of time to undertaking puppy protocol handling, ESI and ENS, and individual puppy evaluations.

Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and we are completely dedicated to the promotion and preservation of this incredible breed.
