Skalawag Tenterfield Terriers are constantly striving for breed perfection. Skalawag progeny have had impressive successes in the show ring and even more impressive successes as much loved family pets for all ages.
I breed quality rather than quantity yet sometimes have puppies for sale that are suitable for pets or showing. I delight in seeing a puppy I have sold do well in the show ring and am just a happy to be sent wonderful photos of a happy pet puppy and happy owners.
Bloodlines have been carefully chosen to give a wide spread of genes within the breed to avoid potential health problems cropping up in the future. I believe in responsible breeding and my dogs and bitches are clear of PLL and CHG by genetic testing or by parentage from tested animals. They have also been chosen for their good mouths and happy temperaments.
With the freedom to run and hunt across paddocks, my Tenties are all much loved house dogs. Puppies are also raised in the house. First and foremost my Tenterfields Terriers are much loved and loving pets and secondly, show and breeding dogs.
