Perkasa American Staffordshire Terriers is a small breeder located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Our prefix 'Perkasa' translated means; doughty, strong and powerful - exactly how the amstaff should be.
We strive for the betterment of the breed in good health, meticulous type and correct temperament. As we take betterment of this great breed seriously, our dogs are completely health tested for hip & elbows, ataxia, cardiac ultrasound performed by a cardiac specialist, eye certified by ophthamology specialist, all tests accompanied by excellent results.
We breed dogs of moderate type who will excel not only in the conformation show ring but also in all aspects of dog sports and most of all, happily cement their place in their families life, to fortify the safeguard of our beloved versatile breed.
True to standard our amstaffs are fun loving, their temperaments are rock solid and we will make no exception for any specimen that does not display this desirability. It is the true amstaff temperament that make owning an American Staffordshire Terrier an absolute priviledge.
We only breed when we necessitate a new addition for our triumphant show team. Our dogs are for companion homes only and are not to be bred from. We however, occasionally may consider co-owned show homes.
