Watermill papillons live in the lovely Gippsland area, south east of Melbourne and have the luxury of our large area to run outside to explore and even chase a rabbit.
Temperament and health are of prime concern, so our Papillons have been genetically tested for the few afflictions common to their breed.
Puppies are reared within the house and treated as babies. But when old enough have supervised, frequent runs outside to explore the garden! This ensures that from a young age the puppies quickly become adept at coping with different experiences and to mingle with the older dogs. As a former instructor of obedience, the puppies learn a few key words, such as "stay," "come " and walkies".
All care is taken regarding their diet, introduction to meaty bones, together with exercise and stimulation to ensure optimal good health.
Puppies are sometimes available to selected homes: prospective Papillon owners are encouraged to view the mother and the father if he is available and ask as many questions as possible about this amazing breed, before the acquisition of a pup. Ongoing support is always welcome, together with key anniversaries being acknowledged.
