Dustyspot Stardust
Haili has had very limited showing, but she took an 8 pt Bitch CC her first time out! She will go back out in the show ring once shows start up again and hopefully finish her title.
Haili took a break in the early part of 2020 and went down to Riverlight ACDs to have a brief romance with CH LIttlewaco Untold Lies (aka Tom) where she produced a litter of 6 puppies for Annette and Mark. It looks to have been a very nice cross and produced some lovely puppies. Riverlight Americano (aka Penny) is already out there in the show rings with great success. We wish her and her siblings all the best in the future and look forward to following their show and performance careers. Haili has returned home now and will be shown again before she produces a litter for us in 2021.
Haili has been completely tested by Orivet Genetics. She is is a Pattern B for prcdPRA, but is clear for ALL other disease traits. She does not carry the Chocolate gene nor the Long Hair gene.
Although she is mainly a house dog these days, but I frequently use her to move cattle off the irrigation blocks. Our cattle can be very sneaky/stubborn and will circle back so as to stay on the irrigation. Haili has no real training but is a quiet and effective worker who listens well to verbal commands and will quietly, but firmly, move the cattle back into the dry paddocks. I have to admit that this totally surprised me! She is not just a "Princess", she is a multi-talented working princess! I expect that her pups would also be good for working and performance, as well as show. Haili has taught me never to pre-judge a cattle dog ... they are truly a multi-faceted breed and more capable than we often assume.
