Your 2004 litter produced Ferris & Lara who are Multi class in Group and Show winners who have both achieved the ultimate acclaim in the All Breeds show arena by winning Best Exhibit In Show awards. Their brother Neo left Australian shores to make his name in the US show scene and has succeeded with multi Speciality Best In Show Wins. Lara is also a RUBISS winner.
For your last litter (2005), you again produced a brother and sister show team to be proud of. Maggie and Dillon who are both multi sweepstakes, group and show winners, with Dillon taking out RUBISS at 8 months of age.
Mary's first litter (2001) gave us our reluctant show daughter "Spot" who with perseverence and patientce Jan was able to title and who is now a proud mother in her own right and whose offspring all bear Mary's stamp of pretty heads, fine profuse wrinkle and superb tail set and shelf. Our keeper from this litter, Smarti, achieved her title with ease.
As you lie back in retirement Mary, feel free to rest on your laurels as you have have provided Tamsala basenjis with a legacy to be proud of.
The first basenji in Australia to be DNA Profiled for Fanconi, Mary's result was "affected" & only 4 days later she spilled sugar. Nevertheless Mary thrived on Dr. Gonto's protocol. Her last Blood gas & Fanconi tests (16.9.09) confirmed her condition was stable. Associated with but not caused by her Fanconi condition, Mary succombed to severe renal failure on Sunday September 20, 2009.
RIP Mary - you were taken from us far too early.
