Nugget left us as a 10 week old baby a chunky heavy "nuggetty" boy. He had a good life where he was and all seemed well. But in July 2006 he returned - and BOY what a change, this now elegant boy went home and struck up an instant friendship with Charlie (Ch Tezer Feel Free To Stare) and reacted in the correct hen-pecked manner when ordered around by his mother and sister. But what a dog, we started throwing him up on a table and asking him to stand to have people come and look at him in a most obtrusive way and he took it all with a wag of his tail. So we started entering him in a few shows, by his third weekend out he had won his class each time, took a Reserve Dog CC at Dalwood behind his kennel mate Charlie and then he went to Melbourne Royal where he won the Intermediate Dog Class, then went 4th in Intermediate at the Vic Whippet Specialty (Ms Claire Newcombe - Pennyworth) and won the Australian Bred Dog Class at the NSW Whippet Specialty (Magnus Hagstedt).

Nugget got his first points in Dec 2006, and continued to rack up decent wins including Reserve Dog behind Charlie at 3 of 4 shows at the Canberra Autumn International 2007 and backed this up the next weekend in Sydney with a 25 pt BOB.

Just 8 months after going in the ring he gains his title under Mr Frank Pieterse of Statuesque Whippets. And then at the Whippet Association of Victoria 2007 Specialty Show he takes RUBISS/Dog Challenge under Mr Unto Timonen (Woodbrook's Whippet:Finland).
