Ziggys first major event in obedience started back in June of 2001 with him taking top honours in Novice at the Queensland State CCC Obedience titles and then the next day also winning Novice in the CCC National Obedeince Trial. He then had a few weeks off and in August of 2001 he competed at the Brisbane Royal Exhibition in both Show and Novice Obedience. On the 13 August he was awarded Best of Breed and then 2 days after became the Royal Brisbane Shows Novice obedience winner. A truly versitle dog. And the only Labrador Retriever in Australia to achieve these titles in the one show. One month later Ziggy then obtained his Open title in only 3 trials.
In 2002 he also wins Open Obedience at the Brisbane Royal Show.
In 2003 Ziggy obtained his UD title. Unfortunatly injury forced him into semi retireent forover 12 months but in 2005 saw him once again compete at the Brisbane Ekka and take 3rd placing in open obedience.
He is the type of dog that is comfortable to lay at your feet all day but when asked to put in a bit of training will put in 110%. A true gentleman a larrakin with personality plus and a big sook he is my first Labrador and he has surely imprinted the true labrador characteristics and temperament on me.
12 March 2006 was awarded RESERVE IN SHOW at Labrador Retriever Club of Qld champ show and his kennelmate and playmate Grand Ch Obedience Ch Wintoppi Flying Zephyr UD wins BEST IN SHOW. He was handled brilliantly by my sister Michelle Youngberg. She has handled him in wins at Brisbane Ekka, Labrador Retriever Club of Qld Open Show and now Labrador Retriever club of Qld Championship Show. He has added another feather to his cap by becoming the 4th Labrador Retriever Nationals Open Obedience Overall Champion which was held in Brisbane in August 2006 then a few days later qualifing at the Brisbane Royal in Open Obedience with a third placing.

Ziggy passed away on 26 October 2010 - Miss you Mate
