Aust Champion, BISS, RUBISS Laugharne Nordic Light

Ch Laugharne Nordic Light

Saffi was our second Welsh and exceeded all our expectations. Although, a wonderful show dog, she would much rather be asleep on the couch.

She was Challenge Bitch at the 2007 Adelaide and Melbourne Royal Shows, the Rarer Gundog Spaniel Club Show and Vic Womens – all under international judges.

Like all our dogs, she was rarely shown but at 9 years old she still won Challenge Bitch over much younger bitches under international judges at major shows. At the Victorian Gundog Club Show in November 2008 she was Best of Breed from an entry of 11.

Saffi also won Best in Show and Runner Up in Show at the Rarer Gundog Spaniel Club of Victoria and several in group awards.

Saffi retired at 9 years old and came out of retirement for the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of NSW Easter 2010 shows where she was Open Neuter in Show on 3 April under Mrs Meghen Riese Bassel of Statemans Kennels, NSW.

At home, her favourite past times were sleeping (preferably on the couch), eating and chasing balls.

Thank you to Beth & Trevor Marschall for entrusting this lovely girl to us.

We had to farewell Saffi on 27 December 2014 at the grand age of 14 years, 8 months. She has left a big hole in our world.

Goniodysgenesis unaffected. Glaucoma unaffected. Clear Eye certificate
Hips: Total 7
