RUBIS Grand Ch. & Neuter Ch. Tamsala The Magician
Merlin at 12 months & one day accrued the requisite number of points to be awarded his Champion title.
2009 was a very successful year for Merlin. He finished #1 Best of Breed, #1 Breed Rising Star, & #2 NSW & National Hound Rising Star in the DOL Pointscore; he also achieved #1 "Dats Our Future" in the National Dog Tournaments Competition.
Then at 20 months, in the most basenji unfriendly weather imaginable, Merlin was awarded RUBIS at the Dogs NSW Complex Fundraising Committee Saturday Evening show.
On March 13, 2010 Merlin (at 21 months & 7 days) achieved his Grand Champion title already having accrued the requisite number of BIG wins to add to his qualifying points.
Having achieved so much in such a short time - Merlin was #1 DOL All Breeds, #2 DOL BOB & #2 Basenji Club of NSW Adult Pointscore winner in 2010 - Jan & I have decided he deserves retirement.
Having easily achieved his Neuter Champion title Merlin has taken up residence in his forever home living in abject luxury with Lee & Chris. Thank you to the clubs which offer neuter classes and the judges who have awarded Merlin so highly; with an aven bigger thank you to Lee & Chris for giving Merlin his forever home.
