Solo got his name because he was the lone survivor in a litter of 7 puppies. It was his mother Fire's first litter and something obviously went wrong and the litter was born 5 days early - all perfectly formed but tiny. Then came Solo - a normal size and very healthy. His mum doted on him and wanted to carry him around with her wherever she went. I had to insist that she leave him behind while she went outside for her toilet breaks. Pretty soon he would lay on the top edge of the whelping box when she wasn't there to have a good view of everything that was going on. When mum would come back they would play for ages. I had no intention of keeping a male from her litter but I'm afraid he stole my heart with his vivacious personality and gorgeous face!
He has now matured into a beautiful, happy dog with a great hip and elbow score of 0/0 elbows, 1/1 hips. He is also clear by parentage of PRA and EIC.
